All Asian American stars of Broadway and Off-Broadway To perform Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical INTO THE WOODS One night only October 11 in Manhattan

The new musical Long Season by Chay Yew and Fabian Obispo will be read Thursday, September 16 at 12pm as part of the Huntington Theatre Company's Breaking Ground reading series. The reading, located at the Roy Arias Studio, is free and open to the public, though reservations are required as seating is extremely limited.

Dancing With The Stars finalist and N'SYNC star Lance Bass joins The Good Wife's Graham Phillips as presenters for the third annual Broadway in South Africa (BSA) benefit concert. The show will premiere new works, created for the evening, by such composers as Grammy Award winners Desmond Child and Julie Gold, to be performed by Broadway stars, like Tony Award winner Alice Ripley and Ariana Grande (Nickelodeon's Victorious).

Tony Award winner Lea Salonga is set to perform the National Anthem and at the 7th Inning Stretch for the San Diego Padres game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, August 28th for Filipino Cultural Night. The game will be broadcast on FOX.

The Ayala Foundation USA today announced that Filipino-American Broadway stars will be featured in a concert version of an original Filipino musical, Long Season, at its upcoming gala on September 25, 2010 at The Fairmont Hotel located at 170 South Market Street in San Jose, CA. The gala will be part of the first ever Philippine Development Forum & Gala to bring together Filipino and Filipino-American thought leaders from both sides of the Pacific to discuss solutions to the Philippine's most pressing development problems. Grammy Award winners Desmond Child and Julie Gold join New York songwriters in creating world-premier works to be performed by Broadway stars, like Tony-Award winner Alice Ripley and Ariana Grande (Nickelodeon's Victorious), to celebrate, raise awareness and funding for Broadway in South Africa (BSA), at its third annual benefit concert. It will take place on Monday, October 4, 2010, at 7:30 pm in the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street. This year's honoree is producer Michael Butler, one of the most successful theatrical producers, lauded for bringing HAIR to Broadway in 1968, and an active proponent of youth creating positive global social change.

I started to play the guitar when I was 12. When I finally decided to try to be an actor for a living.... Musical theatre was something I gravitated to because it combined two of my favorite things...music and dance belts (or girls...or girls in dance belts). When I was in high school I sang in a rock band (we were totally sensitive) and I love that feeling of getting out there with a band creating a cacophony of different sounds. So, when they asked me to write a blerg (the Tina Fey pronunciation), I decided to write mine about the band.

Well, maybe we are. And maybe you are too. I used to like to consider a lot of the crazy people who stopped to talk to me in the street my guardian angels. Some drunk guy would walk up to me and tell me to follow my dreams: guardian angel. That was when I first got to New York. I was younger then (cough, cough, smoke, smoke.) And yet, I do feel quite lucky (shall I use the word blessed?) to go out on stage and work with these lovely and talented people on Falling for Eve every night. I also love getting to talk to the audience. Especially when they are smiling and look like they are ready for a good time. That's right, y'all: I can see your faces. That's also right, friends and family: Please sit in the fourth row or further back.

'Bryant Park, Trailers and Free Juice' by Jose Llana The morning started with a sound check. FALLING FOR EVE was performing in Bryant Park for the Annual Summer Concert Series sponsored and hosted by LiteFM. We were singing three songs from the show, as were a few other shows currently on the boards.

The best of Broadway is being presented free on six consecutive Thursdays this summer with '106.7 Lite fm Presents Broadway in Bryant Park 2010' - a lunchtime series which began on Thursday, July 8th at 12:30pm on the Bryant Park Stage.
