"Bryant Park, Trailers and Free Juice" by Jose Llana

The morning started with a sound check.

FALLING FOR EVE was performing in Bryant Park for the Annual Summer Concert Series sponsored and hosted by LiteFM. We were singing three songs from the show, as were a few other shows currently on the boards.

The park was slowly filling up, a spattering of people coming early to check out the sound check, or just to grab a seat on a hot but beautiful morning in the park.

After the sound check we were sent to the bus trailer to wait for the concert. Inside were couches, sandwiches and most importantly, air conditioning. For the next hour we would meet people from the other shows performing - A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, CHICAGO and ROCK OF AGES.

As usual our show seemed to be making the most noise with our booming laughter and Jennifer even threatened to steal the bus and take it for a joy ride around Manhattan.

There was a nice man outside from a new juice company handing out free samples of a juice bottle called "Raw Juice". Someone should have warned him. Bus full of actors + free stuff = no more juice. I took four bottles myself.

Soon it was show time. They led us out to the stage and by this point the park had filled up nicely. We opened with I LIKE YOU, Krystal brought the house down with WHERE WILL I SLEEP TONIGHT and then Sasha and the rest of us brought it home with GOOD THINGS ARE A COMIN'. Adam played host and the crowd really seemed to love it!

All in all, it was a very successful morning concert. Lots of people were introduced to our show, we got make some new friends, "Raw Juice" will now be a staple in my fridge and Jennifer Blood learned how to hot wire a bus.

Last I heard she was speeding down 57th St throwing juice bottles out the window.
