NBC's has shifted the launch of its new drama “Council of Dads.” The series will premiere Tuesday, March 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT immediately following the season finale of “This Is Us.”

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced today the Motion Pictures and Television nominees for the 31st Annual Producers Guild Awards. Winners in these categories will be announced at the PGA awards ceremony on January 18 at the Hollywood Palladium.  

Season One of the Spectrum Originals hit drama L.A.'s FINEST has locked up over 3 million viewers to date.  During the week of its release (May 13, 2019 week of broadcast finales), the Sony Pictures Television-produced series debuted as a top-rated TV drama, becoming the #1 drama among broadcast series and #2 drama overall second only to “Game of Thrones” in Spectrum homes, beating all broadcast and SVOD dramas. The unstoppable series continues to add viewership through its 16th week (per Nielsen live+35 ratings, LAF 35 day reach, May-September 2019).     

Following a break-out premiere season, Spectrum Originals has greenlit a second season for their debut series, "L.A.'s Finest." The announcement was made today by series stars and executive producers Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba at Opening Night of the 59th Monte Carlo Television Festival.

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), announced today that production has commenced on the new STARZ Original Series 'Hightown,' from Rebecca Cutter ('Gotham'), Gary Lennon (STARZ Original Series 'Power') and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. 'Hightown' stars Monica Raymund ('Chicago Fire') and James Badge Dale (Hold the Dark, 13 Hours).

NBC has picked up COUNCIL OF DADS to series for the 2019-2020 season.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) today announced the 2019 Drama League Awards Nominees for Outstanding Production of a Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Production of a Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Jennifer Morrison is set to star in the new CBS drama pilot Under the Bridge, according to Deadline. The pilot hails from Mistresses executive producer Rina Mimoun and Jerry Bruckheimer TV.

Variety has learned that Sarah Wayne Callies will lead NBC pilot “Council of Dads.'

“L.A.'s Finest,” the highly anticipated series marking the launch of Charter Communications' premium content initiative Spectrum Originals, and produced by Sony Pictures Television, will make its premiere on Spectrum's On Demand platform on Monday, May 13, 2019. The announcement was made today on social media by series stars and executive producers Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba. The first three installments in the 13-episode series will be exclusively available to Spectrum video subscribers free On Demand (and without ads) on May 13, after which new episodes will release every Monday until the finale.

NBC has ordered a pilot for the Tony Phelan and Joan Rater drama “Council of Dads,”according to Variety.

James Badge Dale has been cast as the male lead in Hightown, Starz's drama series from Rebecca Cutter, Gary Lennon and Jerry Bruckheimer TV. According to Deadline, Dale will star opposite Monica Raymund.
