ASCAP is now seeking new musicals for the annual ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in New York. Serving once more as artistic director for the workshop is Academy and Grammy Award-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, whose credits include hit Broadway shows Wicked, Godspell and Pippin; the Walt Disney films Enchanted, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame; and the DreamWorks film The Prince of Egypt.
Soluna Studio to Present TICK…TICK…BOOM!

SoLuna Studio will produce the musical TICK…TICK…BOOM! as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running February 20th-March 8th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults. At the door, tickets for students and seniors are $20 each and $25 for adults. Group rates are also available. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) will present a reunion concert of Kirsten Childs' THE BUBBLY BLACK GIRL SHEDS HER CHAMELEON SKIN on March 30, 2015 at 7pm at 54 Below. The concert will be directed by original cast member Jerry Dixon (If/Then) with original music director Fred Carl (Miracle Brothers) leading members of the original band.

This July, Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) will once again host a three-week Summer Intensive for musical theater students ages 12-17. Beginning Monday, July 6 and running through Saturday, July 25, admitted students will participate in a daily musical theater training program from Mon. - Sat., 10am-6pm (Sundays off).

Yellow Sound Label to Release THE MEMORY SHOW Cast Recording in March

YELLOW SOUND LABEL will release the Off-Broadway cast recording of the new musical The Memory Show. The album will be available at iTunes, Amazon.com, and in stores on March 10. Originally presented in New York by Transport Group, the show has music by Zach Redler and book and lyrics by Sara Cooper with direction by Drama Desk nominee Joe Calarco. Vadim Feichtner serves as music director with orchestrations by Lynne Shankel. The Memory Show stars Leslie Kritzer (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair) and Tony Award nominee Catherine Cox (Baby, Footloose).
