THE REAL ACTORS OF NYC, an original musical with book, lyrics and music by Karlan Judd about an infuriated trio of musical theatre actors determined make it on Broadway by any means, is set for an open-ended run in the Anne L. Bernstein Theater at The Theater Center (50th and Broadway). The production, directed by Max Friedman began previews on Saturday, September 24th and will have its official opening tonight, October 13, 2016.

Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, proudly presents Tony Award-Winner Elizabeth Franz in Ronald Harwood's play Quartet, with performances August 18 through August 28 at Sharon Playhouse (49 Amenia Road). Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the Feinstein's/ 54 Below on Saturday February 20th to continue their official residence at the intimate Manhattan venue.

The Legend of New York, with music by Joshua Salzman and book and lyrics by Ryan Cunningham, is a Sodom and Gomorrah story set during the 1977 New York City blackout. An angel appears to a NYC cop and sends him on a quest to find three souls worth saving by sunrise or else the city will be destroyed. This funk-infused new musical celebrates '70s New York in all its grungy glory-taking you from Central Park to Times Square to CBGBs to, of course, the legendary Studio 54.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. The show, which stars Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, was written by Sonnenblick, and directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming Max Friedman.

Martin Platt and David Elliott (Perry Street Theatricals) announce a workshop presentation of Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose, directed by Eric Schaeffer and written by and starring Ed Dixon, on April 11, 2016. The presentation will run 90 minutes, with no intermission.

The premiere staging of the new musical MIDNIGHT AT THE NEVER GET, which opens this week at Manhattan cabaret institution Don't Tell Mama, has announced that it will extend. A fifth performance will be added to the limited run due to popular demand. The show, which stars Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, was written by Sonnenblick, and directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming Max Friedman.
