BWW Reviews: ONCE UPON A MATTRESS Gets the Royal Treatment at The Hamilton Academy of Music

'Once Upon a Mattress' marked the 1959 Broadway debut of later stage and TV legend Carol Burnett, who originated the role of Princess Winnifred. In the performance I attended, the role was played by spunky Hannah-Michelle Provisor who charmingly displayed sass, vulnerability, strength of character, and the great comedic timing needed to carry her songs 'Shy' and 'Happily Ever After' as well as the physical comedy needed for 'Song of Love.' Accomplished in dance and musical harmony, Provisor is one to watch as a future Broadway musical comedy star.

The critically acclaimed 'Muscle Shoals' documentary that captivated audiences at the Sundance Film Festival will be screened for its home audience Feb. 27 and March 1, at 7 each evening, as part of the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. The feature-length film, which was directed by Greg 'Freddy' Camalier, traces the history of Muscle Shoals music through the people who created it.

Scott Pelley to Cover STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS Live from D.C.

CBS EVENING NEWS Anchor and Managing Editor Scott Pelley will broadcast live from Washington, D.C., for primetime coverage of President Barack Obama's 2013 State of the Union address and the Republican Response on Tuesday, Feb. 12 (9:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. He will also anchor the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) live from Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Feb. 12. Additionally, Pelley will conduct a broad-ranging interview with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) for the broadcast.

The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards were held last night, Feb. 10, 2013, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and was broadcast live on CBS. Hosting the pre-telecast was David Alan Grier, who announced that ONCE: A NEW MUSICAL won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.

Nominees Zac Brown, Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes), and Mumford & Sons, along with five-time GRAMMY winner, GRAMMY Legend Award recipient, and 2000 MusiCares Person of the Year honoree Elton John and GRAMMY winner and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient (as a member of the Staples Singers) Mavis Staples will join together for a special tribute to the late Levon Helm as part of the annual In Memoriam segment on the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast. Current nominee T Bone Burnett will serve as musical director for this special tribute to Helm. Additionally, current nominees Miguel and Wiz Khalifa also are set to perform on Music's Biggest Night.
