Actress Judith Light and playwright Tony Kushner are set to receive DGF Madge Evans & Sidney Kingsley Awards. Former DGF Fellow, Oliver Houser, also announced as recipient of the DGF Stephen Schwartz Award.

Manhattan Theatre Club announces the lineup for the 2019 Ted Snowdon Reading Series.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced three productions slated for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2019-2020 season.

During the summer of 2019 Will Kempe's Players will tour the greater Capital District's parks, colleges, and arts centers with a third season of al fresco Shakespeare classics and contemporary drama.

Co-Producers Tom Vitorino and Alice L. Walker (Thursday Night Theater Club), have signed acclaimed director/actor, Robyn Cohen for The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance at The El Portal Theatre MainStage.  Both Vitorino and Walker are thrilled to have Robyn Cohen at the helm directing their cast of twelve. This will be her second time to direct with Thursday Night Theater Club.

Farmers Alley Theatre will present the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning drama Doubt, a parable this February. Director D. Terry Williams (A Doll's House, Part 2) has assembled an amazing cast headlined by Dwandra Nickole Lampkin (The Christians, The Conviction of Lady Lorraine) as Sister Aloysius and Andy Hoff (TV's Mad Men, Criminal Minds) as Father Flynn. John Patrick Shanley's 90 minute one-act will run February 8-24 at Farmers Alley Theatre, right in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) presents "Defiance" by John Patrick Shanley, directed by BTE Ensemble Member Kurt Naebig, Jan. 31-March 3. There will be a preview Thursday, Jan. 31. Press opening is Friday, Feb. 1.

The Gift Theatre is pleased to present TEN 2019, the company's annual season kick-off festival of ten world premiere ten-minute pieces by The Gift and guest artists, curated by Artistic Director Michael Patrick Thornton and Associate Artistic Directors Paul D'Addario and Emjoy Gavino. TEN will play January 10 - 20, 2019 at 4802 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Jefferson Park neighborhood. Tickets for TEN are free for Gift subscribers and $10 for the general public. Following the success of The New York Times critic's pick The Tricky Part by Martin Moran, The Barrow Group, under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors Seth Barrish and Lee Brock and Executive Director Robert Serrell, continues its 2018-2019 season with the world premiere of AWAKE, written and directed by K. Lorrel Manning.

After a sold out run last fall, the recent revival of The Diary of Anne Frank, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman ('97 Broadway version) will return for a limited engagement previewing January 11, 2019.
