Just last night, New York Stage and Film held its annual Winter Gala, featuring performances and appearances by Tony Award nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Jon Robin Baitz, Tony Award nominee Santino Fontana, David Forman, Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr, Grammy Award nominee Rob Hyman, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Mozhan Marno, Bonnie Milligan, Manu Narayan, Josh Radnor, Dee Roscioli, Academy Award and Tony Award winner John Patrick Shanley, Grammy Award and Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik, and Obie Award winner Lucy Thurber. Brian Usifer served as Musical Director.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, hosts a "Give Stories Life" Friendraiser benefit BTE at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd., on the campus of College of DuPage, Dec. 14, 6-8 p.m.

The Gift Theatre is pleased to launch its 18th season with a revival of John Patrick Shanley's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning drama DOUBT: A PARABLE, presented as a part of Steppenwolf's LookOut Series. Directed by Ensemble Member John Gawlik and featuring an all-ensemble cast, DOUBT will play February 27 - March 31, 2019 at Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre, 1700 N. Halsted St. in Chicago.

It has been said many times that the difference between an adequate play and a truly great play is that great plays force one to think. They stay with you, you are compelled to discuss them with your play-going companions, you reflect upon them. While DOUBT: A Parable certainly made this reviewer think - a day later and struggling to adequately review it, it continues to haunt me.

DOUBT: A PARABLE. John Patrick Shanley's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama brings a gripping storm of suspicion and scandal where no simple truths or answers exist. Set against the backdrop of 1960s America, a turbulent time of political and social change, a progressive young priest's conduct at a Bronx Catholic school comes under question by one of the Sisters, whose beliefs are deeply rooted in a stern and unquestionable tradition.

Animus Theatre Company (Jonathan Judge-Russo, Founding Artistic Director), an ensemble of young, dynamic artists exploring the resilience of the human spirit through new and under-represented works, continues their fourth full season with Frank McGuinness' gripping drama about ideologies held hostage, Someone Who'll Watch Over Me, directed by the acclaimed theatre professional, Alan Langdon.

Dramatic Repertory Company (Keith Powell Beyland, Artistic Director) presents the Maine Premiere COCK (the cockfight play) by Mike Bartlett, directed by Keith Powell Beyland & Tess Van Horn, playing November 9 - 18, 2018. This premiere production will be presented at the Studio Theater at Portland Stage, 25A Forest Ave.

Kicking off the 13th season, City Theatre Austin is excited to present John Patrick Shanley's critically acclaimed stage play Doubt: A Parable. Winner of the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, it is directed by guest director Rick Roemer and features Joel Gross, Brooke Culbertson, April Patterson, and Babs George as Sister Aloysius.

Steppenwolf's LookOut Series has announced their Winter 2018-2019 lineup, giving audiences plenty of reasons to escape the cold with performances from hot, new acts and the return of LookOut favorites. Warm up with a drink at Front Bar and stay for an unforgettable night of live performance in Steppenwolf's 1700 Theatre. Since its inception, the LookOut series has featured the work of more than 1,000 artists from across Chicago, the country and the world in more than 300 performances.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Nap, written by Olivier Award nominee Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors) and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes; Rabbit Hole; Proof) is playing its final two weeks of performances. Manhattan Theatre Club will "Trans Visibility in the Theatre," a panel directly following the Sunday, November 4th matinee of The Nap. Come to an open discussion about increasing trans presence in the theatre, with panelists including Alexandra Billings (The Nap, "Transparent"), Kate Bornstein (Straight White Men, "I Am Cait"), Will Davis (India Pale Ale, Men On Boats), Alexa Fogel ("Pose" Casting Director), Bianca Leigh (The Nap, Transamerica), and Marquise Vilson (Charm). They will discuss how the arts industry can sustain and further the current push for greater trans presence and representation.
