South & Saints brings together community storytelling and civic engagement, elevating the voices of Frederick’s rich African-American and Black community and their considerable contributions to the landscape of Frederick as we know it today.

Akedah won the 2019 Bruntwood Prize Original New Voices Award, and is Michael John O’Neill’s first full length play. It’s a tricky show in every sense of the word: the themes are very heavy, with little levity, and the plot is often hard to keep track of, as new details about the characters’ past are gradually added. The result is a very bleak, emotionally fraught production that’s difficult to unpick.

Jill Dell'Abate is the Production Manager.

In 1968, Cavett was hired by ABC to host THIS MORNING, which was renamed THE DICK CAVETT SHOW and moved to prime time and then to late night, where it ran opposite THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JOHNNY CARSON.

Dylan Thomas's masterpiece UNDER MILK WOOD: a play for voices, will be presented by the Extended Run Players of the University of the Incarnate Word on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm and Saturday October 23 at 2 pm. Performances are in the recital hall, Seddon Hall, in the University's music building.
