Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra And Cincinnati Pops Launch THE FANFARE PROJECT

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Cincinnati Pops today announced a new initiative, The Fanfare Project, borne of the Orchestra's heritage as a champion of the music of its time and of the role of music to unite us in uncertain times. The inspiration for the initiative is Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, commissioned by CSO Music Director Eugene Goossens in 1942 in support of Allied efforts and as a testament to the American spirit during World War II. The Orchestra gave the world premiere on March 12, 1943. 

Cincinnati Pops Unveils 2020-21 Season

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell are pleased to announce the details of their 2020-21 season at Music Hall. Highlights of the new season include return appearances by Pops favorites Audra McDonald, Pink Martini and Cirque de la Symphonie; live-orchestra-to-film presentations; a comedic tribute to orchestras by The Second City; JMR's 10th anniversary celebration, featuring a world premiere by Grammy-winning composer Eric Whitacre; two Lollipops concerts for younger audiences; and four annual Cincinnati traditions: Red White & Boom at Riverbend on Independence Day, Holiday Pops with vocalists Aubrey Logan and Darius de Haas, New Year's Eve at Music Hall and Classical Roots.

Ledisi Performs With Cincinnati Pops, February 18

Ledisi, an artist whose music channels gospel, blues, funk and more, makes her debut with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra at Music Hall on Tuesday, February 18 (7:30 pm). Pops Conductor John Morris Russell will lead this soulful, one-night-only concert program that highlights Ledisi's widely acclaimed career and powerhouse vocals. The New Orleans native has released eight studio albums which have garnered twelve GRAMMY nominations.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

 Bergen County Players, one of America's longest-running little theater companies, is pleased to continue its 2019-2020 season with the Tony-nominated play, 33 Variations. Written by Moisés Kaufman (The Laramie Project) and directed by Steve Bell, 33 Variations will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from January 11th through February 1st, 2020.

Violinist Gil Shaham To Perform With CSO

International violinist sensation, Gil Shaham, will perform at Music Hall November 8 and 9 with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) under Music Director Louis Langrée in Petrouchka + Tchaikovsky. The Saturday evening concert (Nov 9 at 8 pm) is SOLD OUT, but good seats are still available for the Friday night performance (Nov 8 at 8 pm). 

Renée Elise Goldsberry To Perform With Cincinnati Pops

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra and Conductor John Morris Russell welcome Renée Elise Goldsberry, winner of the Best Featured Actress Tony Award for her portrayal of Angelica Schuyler in the smash hit musical, Hamilton. Making her Cincinnati Pops debut, Goldsberry will perform three concerts with the Pops on September 13, 14, and 15, opening the Pops' 2019-20 season at Music Hall. 

Single Tickets Now On Sale For CSO 2019-20 Season

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO), under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, and the Cincinnati Pops, under the direction of Pops Conductor John Morris Russell, are preparing for the 2019-20 season with sales of single tickets to all upcoming performances. Previously only available in subscription bundles, tickets are now being released for single purchase, group sales, and more. 

Cincinnati Pops Releases New 'Voyage' Recording Today

July 5, marks the global release of the latest Cincinnati Pops Orchestra recording, Voyage, under the direction of John Morris Russell. This is the first studio recording made at Cincinnati Music Hall following a major renovation of the building.
