Cinedigm plans to release the film theatrically in late summer with an eye towards awards for the film and its performances.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, HBO has officially picked up Aaron Sorkin's 'The Newsroom' for a second season. The series, which premiered on June 24, airs Sunday nights at 10pm. Additionally, the network has also renewed 'True Blood' for a sixth season.
