Up On The Marquee: THE BAND'S VISIT

An Egyptian Police Band arrives in Israel to play a concert. After a mix-up at the border, they are sent to a remote village in the middle of the desert. With no bus until morning and no hotel in sight, these unlikely travelers are taken in by the locals. Under the spell of the desert sky, their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected ways. The Band's Visit celebrates the deeply human ways music and laughter connect us all.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Hal Brooks, the Cape Cod Theatre Project has a long history of presenting some of America's best new plays. Audiences are invited to participate in the creation of new works for American theater, many of which go on to off-Broadway, Broadway, or regional engagements.

Peninsula Players Theatre Awarded Grant from The Shubert Foundation

NYC Teen Playwrights Premiere Plays at Leap Onstage Event

Students from 10 NYC public schools, whose plays will be published by renowned publisher Samuel French, will showcase their original works and perform them at The Pearl Theatre as part of the acclaimed LEAP OnStage program. LEAP OnStage, created by Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP), immerses 500 public school students, mostly in communities underserved by the arts, in a comprehensive theater program.

Peninsula Players Theatre, America's Oldest Professional Resident Summer Theatre and Door County's theatrical icon, announces artistic company members for its 82nd season, running June 13 through October 15, 2017.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES Gets New Stage Adaptation Off-Broadway

Royal Family Productions, a theatre company known for its innovative productions and development of new original work, will present a unique adaptation of the celebrated novel Anne of Green Gables: Part 1 by L.M. Montgomery. This new one-woman shows has been adapted and directed by Chris Henry and choreographed by Lorna Ventura.

Martin Moran's OBIE Award-Winning One-Man Show THE TRICKY PART Gets Philadelphia Premiere

After premiering Off-Broadway 13 years ago, The Tricky Part, heads to the City of Brotherly Love for a  two-night limited engagement May 22-23. The true story of a young Martin Moran, The Tricky Part has been called "a translucent memoir of a play … shattering and affecting" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times. This production of The Tricky Part is part of Drexel University's Entertainment & Arts Management Program's Producing Live Entertainment class, led by Drexel professor and Broadway producer Brannon Wiles.
