GRAMMY Award winning artist of Pentatonix and Broadway star, Kirstin Maldonado, will be joining the much anticipated Children of Eden production, scheduled to open in Chicago in the summer of 2021.  

Recorded live at the Gielgud Theatre last year with an all-star cast including Michael Ball as Javert, Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean, Carrie Hope Fletcher as Fantine, Matt Lucas as Thénardier, Rob Houchen as Marius, Bradley Jaden as Enjolras, Katy Secombe as Madame Thénardier, Shan Ako as Eponine and Lily Kerhoas as Cosette and an orchestra of over 65.

Producers Michael Jackowitz of Witzend Productions, David Bryant and Michael Alden, in partnership with Streaming Musicals, herald the arrival of a new holiday musical tradition with the World Premiere of Estella Scrooge: A Christmas Carol with a Twist.

Musical theatre has a history of big, splashy, high-kicking casts, and that’s what many people think when they hear the word “musical.” The increasing trend for writers wanting to tell a poignant, dramatic story (and producers wanting to pay fewer actors) is to use a tiny cast of six or fewer to narrow the focus without getting distracted by glitter.

In partnership with the Pumphouse Players, Lock Willow Productions will produce Daddy Long Legs, a musical with book by John Caird and lyrics and music by Paul Gordon. The musical will be available for streaming on ShowTix4U beginning on Friday, November 6th.

Tonight, it was reported that due to overwhelming demand the show's producers have announced a two week extension. The initial six weeks of performances have completely sold out.

The acclaimed playwright Mary O'Malley, author of the award-winning comedy ONCE A CATHOLIC, has died at the age of 79. She passed away on September 19, 2020.

The 2018 critically acclaimed stage musical A Knights' Tale - written and directed by John Caird (LES MISERABLES, Jane Eyre, Nicholas Nickleby, Daddy Long Legs), music and lyrics by Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility, Daddy Long Legs), Japanese translation by Maoko Imai Caird, and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Brad Haak.
