Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, present The Songs of Josh Freilich and Kate Chadwick on December 9th, 9:30pm.

In addition to planning an Off-Broadway series at the Horton Grand Theatre, SDMT is cultivating two, site-specific works; LAST NIGHT IN TOWN - a new musical based on the discography of Ben Folds, and HALL PASS - an immersive musical set and performed in a high school. Both musicals were featured in New York University's Forum on Site-Specific Performance in 2015. LAST NIGHT IN TOWN has another San Diego connection: one of the show's creators, Amy Cordileone, grew up in San Diego and worked locally for many years before moving to New York City.

Jonathan and Kimbirdlee Fadner created Common Man Musicals to produce new works of musical theatre that are relevant, relatable and affordable. Common Man Musicals launches this June with four original short musicals, presented Friday, June 17 through Monday, June 20 at 7:00pm at the Main Street Theatre &Dance Alliance on Roosevelt Island.

fandango 4 Art House has announced that it will present the world premiere of THE DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE OF PRIVATE PITTS, a new play based loosely on actual events surrounding a young Texas girl's unfathomable journey from 'miracle child' to aimless rebel, into the throes of the Iraq war and beyond, tonight, November 5 - November 22 at the IATI Theater at 64 East 4th Street in NYC.

Last night the Barrington Stage Company Musical Theatre Lab presented the East Coast Premiere of Nick Blaemire's A Little More Alive on the St. Germain Stage of the Sydelle & Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center and Broadwayworld was there.

Alysha Umphress has a special relationship with Barrington Stage Company and William Finn so it wasn't a surprise that on her day off  from On The Town she came to Pittsfield and sang in Mr. Finn's Cabaret.  It also wasn't a surprise the demand for tickets was so great that a second late show had to be added.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "24@54' on May 25 at 9:30pm. Hosted by Obie award winning writer-composer Polly Pen (Bed and Sofa, Arlington) it will feature original songs from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program's cycle 24. Proceeds for the concert will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Organizer Marella Martin says, "This concert represents our public entry into the musical theatre community. Broadway <3 Canines for Kids is a Valentine's themed concert that celebrates love. The one night only event will benefit Canines for Disabled Kids, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs for disabled children. The evening will feature Broadway performers interpreting songs by emerging musical theater writers.

Proof is directed by Gallery veteran Mark Gallagher (Equus, The History Boys), and features the talents of Justine Campbell-Elliott, John Blaylock*, Bonnie Wickeraad* and David Gazzo. Proof will open tonight, October 25, 2014 at 8pm and run through November 9, 2014.

Studio Six co-founder Ben Sargent will direct a cast of eleven including Stewart Alden, Cameron Berner, John Blaylock, David M. Farrington, Doug Hartwyk, Sarah Michelle McAvoy, Pete Macnamara, Samantha Opitz, Benjamin Russell, Najla Said, and RaShelle Stocker. Woman at the Funerals will be staged for 16 performances at IATI Theater, 64 East 4th Street in NYC from June 13-29, 2014.
