Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, present The Songs of Josh Freilich and Kate Chadwick on December 9th, 9:30pm.

They'll present work from their collaboration at Barrington Stage (Butterflies, a musical about Kate's terrifying youth in ballet, directed by Graciela Daniele) and from their musicals developed for the University of California, Irvine's Satellite Program (By The Breath Of Southern Fire, a comedy about nerds at ComicCon and Excuse Me, a song cycle about how no one ever talks to each other in New York... Why not!?). Josh will be at the piano playing his own songs and Kate will host a cast of Broadway and cabaret's best (who have promised to act the heck out of this night of new work).

Michelle Coben ( The Wizard of Oz at The Muny), Maya Keleher ( Next to Normal at TheaterWorks Hartford), Beth Kirkpatrick ( Les Mis e? rables) Michael Linden ( Spring Awakening National Tour), Patty Nieman ( The Awakening of Angel DeLuna at NYMF), Fergie Philippe ( Parade at Merry Go Round Playhouse), Amanda Savan ( Peter Panic ), and Morgan Weed ( American Psycho ) will sing this night of all new material.

"The Songs of Josh Freilich and Kate Chadwick" plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54t h Street) on December 9th, 9:30pm. There is a $25-$65 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Josh Freilich (music director/composer), a graduate of NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, has been involved with six Barrington Stage Company's "Ridiculously Talented" shows, has musical directed as well as composed for various Mr. Finn's Cabaret shows (with Kate Chadwick, Nikko Benson, John Blaylock, and others), and has also had one of his 15-minute musicals (also written with Kate Chadwick) performed by Barrington's Musical Theatre Conservatory as part of the Musical Shorts festival. Recent credits: Excuse Me! (for the New York Satellite Program at UCIrvine, composer), A New Brain (NYCC! Kate Chadwick (host/lyrics) graduated from NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program in 2015. She had a showcase of her songs in William Finn's Cabaret series at Barrington Stage in the summer of 2015, a short-opera at Hartford Opera, and a reading of her new musical, Butterflies, at Barrington Stage in 2017 (directed by Graciela Daniele, and starring Donna McKechnie). She's had her songs performed at the National Asian Artists Project, "Ridiculously Talented" at Barrington Stage, Barrington Stage's Musical Shorts Festival, Sardi's, 54 Below, The York Theatre and The Laurie Beechman.
