Cape Town City Ballet presents an exciting new trilogy of works with their Spring Season, SATORI, which will be performed at the Artscape Opera House from 26 October to 9 November.

For the last three years in January, the attention of the classical music world has turned to Guangzhou, China, where Yo-Yo Ma and some of his closest collaborators work with students in an intense week of education, collaboration, and exploration at Youth Music Culture Guangdong (YMCG).

In his second season as principal conductor, Bernard Labadie leads Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) in its 33rd concert series in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The series begins with Italian pianist Beatrice Rana joining OSL for two Bach keyboard concertos on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. The program is bookended by two works by Mendelssohn: The Hebrides Overture and a?oeScottisha?? Symphony.

New York City-based performing arts organization CreArtBox and Parhelion Trio presents a new production titled a?oeBilitisa?? that includes the staging of Claude Debussy's Chansons de Bilitis, featuring actor Jacopo Rampini, a world premiere by Seong Ae Kim, and music by Philip Glass, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Camille Saint-Saëns.

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra (CCCO), the region's newest professional orchestra, announces Season Two: Towards the Sea, a 2019-20 season of four performances.  The orchestra is conducted by Music Director Matthew Scinto. 

Mount Wilson Observatorya?"the scientific marvel above Pasadena, atop Mount Wilsona?"is pleased to announce the fifth date in its Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome six-month series, to take place on Sunday, September 1, 2019. The performances are presented inside the iconic vaulted dome of the 100-inch telescope. A season of musical adventures, thoughtfully curated by Artistic Director Cécilia Tsan, is offered on the first Sunday of each month through October with two shows per date.

Long Island City-based performing arts organization, CreArtBox, announces its second annual music festival. The festival strives to present classical and contemporary music in a modern way, using eclectic programming and a strong visual component to engage and enthuse audience members. Taking place during three evenings across Labor Day Weekend (August 30th - September 1st), the festival will be hosted at the 12,000 square foot Plaxall Gallery (5-25 46th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101).

Internationally acclaimed choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker highlights the season opening of New York Live Arts (Live Arts) with two early benchmarks of postmodern dance, Fase (September 24-28, 2019) and Rosas danst Rosas (October 1-5, 2019).

Bach in Baltimore announced today that in response to audience requests for more instrumental concerts and music that extends beyond the Baroque era that it has created a new music series: BEYOND BACH. For more than 30 years, Bach in Baltimore has performed nearly every work Bach wrote during its First Sunday Series-ranging from the best-known standards to pieces that are so rarely performed, and Bach in Baltimore is one of the only remaining the only ensemble in central Maryland to present the cantatas of J.S. Bach regularly. The first installment of BEYOND BACH concerts will feature the music of Mozart and Beethoven. Because as great as Bach is, we all know that there is more.
