A star-studded cast has been assembled for Spotlight on Goderich: A Variety Show at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend on Sunday, November 20th at 3:00 p.m.

Green Door Cabaret is a relatively new initiative in Toronto, created and founded by Robert Missen in an effort to revisit and re-explore the glory that is old-fashioned cabarets. Every Friday and Saturday night for the rest of November various musical theatre stars will be featured at The Lower Ossington Theatre performing intimate, original, cabaret style works. One of the first events featured husband and wife team Louise Pitre and Joe Matheson, performing songs they had written themselves for the first time ever. BWW was on hand to check out what the series was about, and also got an exclusive backstage interview with Joe and Louise.

Theatre 20 kicked off it's 2011-2012 concert season on Monday May 9th with The Story Begins, an evening of songs from story driven musicals. Featuring special guest Colm Wilkinson and some of Toronto's best and brightest stars, it was a truly magical evening of amazing musical theatre talent. Then embrace the magical sound of Canada's first lady of musical theatre, Louise Pitre, who comes to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre stage March 22 in a concert titled From Piaf to Broadway & Back. Pitre (pronounced 'Peet-ruh') shot to fame nearly two decades ago, when she starred in the title role of Piaf.

Tony Award nominated actress (for Mamma Mia) Louise Pitre has been cast to play Rose in the concert production of Gypsy at the Talk Is Free Theater in Barrie, Ontario. The new season at TIFT will begin on October 22 with the premiere of A Tale of How Ivan Ivanovich and Ivan Nikiforovich Had a Fight, followed by the concert production of Gypsy from November 25 and 26th. Next up is Assassins at the Downtown Theater Jan 21-30.

The Canadian production will take place at The Music Hall (998 seats) on Danforth Avenue, currently undergoing renovations to accommodate the show. Mamma Mia star and Tony Award nominee Louise Pitre will star in the production.

This Sunday people all over Canada will be running in various races across the country to raise awareness and money for breast cancer as part of the CIBC Run for the Cure. The Toronto Production of Jersey Boys is pitching in and helping to raise money for this great cause.
