Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced jazz programming running August 7 - August 20.

One of the essential artists of piano, George Cables (aka “Mr. Beautiful”) is known for his impeccable sound, sensitive accompaniment, and original playing. A trusted collaborator over the past 50 years for artists like Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, and Art Pepper, Cables has also released numerous important recordings as a leader.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced jazz programming running March 20 through April 2.

Repeat engagements include David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, Frank Vignola's Guitar Night, Birdland Big Band and Arturo O'Farrill & The Latin Jazz Orchestra.

Brazilian tap dancer and drag artist Felipe Galganni will return to the Triad Theater, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC on March 21, 28 and April 4  at 7pm with his new show, Xana DuMe, The Drag Tap Dancing Queen.

Jazz at Princeton University, helmed by acclaimed saxophonist/composer Rudresh Mahanthappa, and the McCarter Theatre kick off a new partnership on Saturday, February 11 with “For the Love of It,” a concert celebrating life, love, and culture through diverse musical styles and composers.

On Friday, October 14th, Flushing Town Hall will present “The Swinging Sounds of Coleman Hawkins” featuring Lew Tabackin and his ensemble. 

On Friday, September 23rd, Flushing Town Hall will present GRAMMY-winning American jazz drummer and Queens native Lenny White & Friends for an exciting evening of jazz fusion at 8 PM EST.

Chris' Jazz Café is gearing up for another fantastic fall season as the iconic club marks its 33rd anniversary this September. Philly area native and Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts alum Kurt Rosenwinkel kicks off the season as he returns to his roots to help the legendary venue celebrate this milestone on Friday and Saturday, September 16 & 17.
