Continuing its popular live-stream series, which recently featured a Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger in July, Lincoln Center will live-stream concerts on August 6 at 7:30 pm, featuring Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell plus an opening set by Robert Ellis; on August 8 at 7:30 pm with sets by The Campbell Brothers performing a sacred steel version of John Coltrane's A Love Supreme and Cassandra Wilson; and August 9 at 6 pm featuring Rosanne Cash, The Lone Bellow, and Buddy Miller & Jim Lauderdale.

The 44th season of Lincoln Center Out of Doors, one of the country's longest-running, free summer outdoor festivals opens on July 20. San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) named winner for "I Am Harvey Milk" in the Soundtrack / Cast Recording Album category at the 13th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs). "I Am Harvey Milk" is an emotional celebration of an American icon. Part choral work, part theater piece, it weaves the story of Harvey Milk's life -- from boyhood to his rise as the first openly gay man to hold public office in California and to his untimely assassination.

The original cast recording of Andrew Lippa's I Am Harvey Milk was just named by Music Resource Group (MRG) as the winner of Best Soundtrack/Cast Recording in The 13th Independent Music Awards (The IMAs), the influential awards program for independent music and fans. Representing the broad spectrum of today's global independent music scene, the nominees in over 80 Album, Song, Music Video and Design categories were culled from thousands of submissions from North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, Greenland and Europe.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. The 30A SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL has announced the full line-up for the January 17, 18 and 19, 2014event set to take place at venues along northwest Florida's scenic Highway 30A and the resort neighborhoods of South Walton.
