ATC's 'HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH' Extends Thru 5/31

American Theater Company announces the addition of new performance dates for its hit production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli. The production has added four performances and is extended through May 31, 2009 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron in Chicago.

Harris, Griffin, Colvin, Miller Set For Opening Of Toronto Fest Of Arts 6/5

Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin, and Buddy Miller will kick off the opening night of Luminato, Toronto Festival of Arts and Creativity, with a special show at Massey Hall. These four incredibly talented musicians have been collaborating with one another for years and now perform an intimate performance as part of Luminato. This is a rare opportunity to see some of the most celebrated songwriters together on one stage.

ATC Closes 24th Season With HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH 4/9-5/17

American Theater Company (ATC) closes its highly successful Season 24 with a new production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, text by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli with musical direction by Malcolm Ruhl. The production will run April 9 - May 17, 2009 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago. Press opening is Monday, April 13, 2009 at 7 p.m.

Cumming, Loveless and Szot Featured in Lincoln Center's 'American Songbook' 2009 Season, Runs 1/14 - 3/6

Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook returns in January for its eleventh season celebrating the diversity of American popular song. For 17 nights of pop, folk, cabaret, R&B, country, rock, show tunes, bluegrass and multimedia, the series will explore the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic contemporary songwriting. The 2009 season - January 14 through March 6 - will bring to the stage some of today's most gifted interpreters of song, including top vocalist Kurt Elling and country's winning Patty Loveless. It will feature the rare opportunity to hear Paulo Szot, star of Broadway's South Pacific, and film and stage star Alan Cumming, in intimate concert settings.
