Singer Kaitlyn Baker, who has been attracting attention since the release of her singles "Burn" and "Coal Train," will bring her "coal country" style of music to the WDVX "Blue Plate Special" in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, March 16. The program broadcasts Monday through Saturday in front of a live audience at the Knoxville Visitors Center.

Hosted by Red Hickey Monday through Friday and by Doug Lauderdale on Saturday, the "Blue Plate Special" features a wide range of music, including country, bluegrass, Americana, Celtic, folk, funk, rockabilly and international.

Previous guest performers have included Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, The Avett Brothers, Old Crowe Medicine Show, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, Jim Lauderdale, Marty Stuart, Nickel Creek, Red Stick Ramblers, Rodney Crowell, String Cheese Incident, The Del McCoury Band, Tim O'Brien, Yonder Mountain String Band, David Grisman, Claire Lynch Band, Brett Dennen, Tommy Emmanuel, Uncle Earl, The Infamous Stringdusters, the Jerry Douglas Band, Joan Osborne, John Oats, Mary Gauthier, Darrell Scott and more.

"The Blue Plate Special has become an important destination for many singers and bands touring through East Tennessee," Baker said. "It's an honor to be invited to perform on such a great show."

Though based in Southwest Virginia, Baker is no stranger to East Tennessee, having performed at festivals and venues throughout the region. Her song "Burn" inspired a hot sauce, Kaitlyn Baker's BURN Sauce, which is produced by Pepper Palace in Sevierville, in the Smoky Mountains. Recently, she appeared on the nationally syndicated public television concert series "Song of the Mountains."
