Gillian Anderson, Ian McKellen, and More Will Lead World Premiere Of WHODUNNIT [UNREHEARSED]

In the first glimpse of Park Theatre's new season, the theatre can reveal initial star casting for their World Premiere murder mystery Whodunnit [Unrehearsed], in association with Avalon. Every night, a different guest performer will step onstage to join the rehearsed ensemble of a scripted murder mystery play, having attended no rehearsals, read no script, nor received any direction. Armed only with a hidden earpiece to receive instructions, they will endeavour to solve the crime in real time.

Phil Daniels And Janie Dee Will Star In New Musical THE HAPPY PRINCE

A new musical based on Oscar Wilde's classic fairy tale will be presented in three showcase performances at The Place from 3 - 4 May 2019. The Happy Prince stars Janie Dee as Mrs Bentley, Phil Daniels as The Mayor, Sophia Hurdley as The Swallow and Sam Archer as The Prince. This heart-rending story about a Swallow's faithful love for the golden statue of a Prince is told through a seamless fusion of dance and song.

Jim Carter And Imelda Staunton Host Cabaret Event To Raise Funds For Kiln Theatre

Jim Carter and Imelda Staunton return to Kiln Theatre to host a one-off special cabaret event to raise funds for the theatre on Sunday, 10 March 2019 at 6pm. The line-up includes performances from Jim Broadbent, Sharon D Clarke, Michelle Dockery, Michael C Fox, Sir Derek Jacobi, Jamael Westman and Clive Rowe.

Hot off award-winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and reunited with Matthew Dunster, who directed his hit Hangmen, Martin McDonagh brings his latest to the Bridge - quite a coup for Nick Hytner. Yet this provocative take on Hans Christian Andersen, and on the nature of storytelling, takes too scattershot an approach to fully land.

The cast comprises Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles, Alistair Benson, Elizabeth Berrington, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Jim Broadbent, Phil Daniels, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles. The 12-week run will conclude on 6 January 2019. The London Theatre Companyproduction is designed by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell, music compositions by James Maloney, sound by George Dennis, special effects by Paul Wanklin and video effects by Finn Ross.

Three towering talents play a cast of thousands in this new comedy by the writer of the Olivier Award-winning West End hit The 39 Steps as Patrick Barlow's The Messiah tours the UK this Autumn. Starring Hugh Dennis, Lesley Garrett and John Marquez, the funniest and most magical nativity you'll ever see opens at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre on October 15th, 2018 before touring to New Theatre, Cardiff; Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield; Cheltenham Everyman Theatre and Richmond Theatre.

Free Monday Night Summer Shakespeare Film Screenings at The Old Globe this July

The Old Globe will once again share some of its favorite Shakespearean cinema as a complement to its stage productions with the return of Free Monday Night Film Screenings, presented in conjunction with the 2018 Summer Shakespeare Festival. Curated by the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and introduced by KPBS's "Cinema Junkie" Beth Accomando, the films include Fred Wilcox's Forbidden Planet on July 9, Ralph Fiennes's Coriolanus on July 16, Orson Welles's Othello on July 30, and Ian McKellen's Richard III on August 27. Admission is free. Seating for each film is first-come, first-served and by general admission. The line begins one hour before each screening.

In Sally Potter's new dark comedy THE PARTY, Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas) is hosting an intimate gathering of friends in her London home to celebrate her political ascension, while her husband, Bill (Timothy Spall), seems preoccupied. Janet's acerbic best friend, April (Patricia Clarkson) arrives and others follow, some with their own dramatic news to share, but an announcement by Bill provokes a series of revelations that gradually unravel the sophisticated soiree, and a night that began with champagne may end with gunplay.

Benedict Cumberbatch Appointed President Of LAMDA

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) announces that Benedict Cumberbatch CBE has been appointed as the Academy's new President. He will take up the position immediately, succeeding Timothy West CBE who steps down after 31 years in the role.
