Theater J has announced Theater J’s 32nd season, which includes five plays and a bonus return engagement of a musical masterpiece.

InterAct Theatre Presents The World Premiere Of SETTLEMENTS!

InterAct Theatre Company continues its 2021-2022 season with  SETTLEMENTS, a “world premiere” play by InterAct's founding Producing Artistic Director, Seth Rozin. SETTLEMENTS marks InterAct's 3rd live, in-person production since returning from the pandemic shutdown, following on the heels of its critically acclaimed THIS BITTER EARTH in February 2022. 

Richmond County Orchestra Strikes Up The Band For Jewish Music Month

The Richmond County Orchestra performs 'Strike up the Band,' a concert in celebration of Jewish Music Month on Sunday, March 27th at 3 pm featuring singer-songwriter Ryan Berkowitz, pianist Olga Gurevich, child soprano Adeline Cherny, Anita Berger with the St Cecelia singers  and with Maestro Alan Aurelia conducting the Richmond County Orchestra.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL, OY! HANUKKAH, MERRY KWANZAA Extends Virtually Through January 9

For the delight of audiences aged 5 to 105, Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre (CAMT) in 'A Christmas Carol, Oy! Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa' from December 22 to January 2. The show is an adaptation of Dickens' classic with Old World accents and New World inclusiveness.

Jews Of Color Arts Fellowship 'THE WORKSHOP' Launches

Theater J Presents TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE Next Month

Schwartz inspired millions with his lessons on life and loving in Mitch Albom's breakout memoir, Tuesdays with Morrie, which has been adapted for the stage by Albom and playwright and screenwriter Jeffrey Hatcher (Stage Beauty and Columbo) and will appear as the second play in Theater J's 2021-2022 season.

BWW Review: LOVE LETTERS at JCC Centerstage Theatre (via Rochester Fringe Festival)

As part of the annual Fringe Festival, Rochester's Jewish Community Center presented 'Love Letters', the popular 1988 two-person play by A. R. Gurney that follows two friends throughout the course of their lives told solely through the reading of letters that they wrote each other over the years. The show, known for its simplicity and emotional breadth, provides a quiet and sensitive alternative to other programming at the Fringe Festival, which is known as a home for alternative and avant-garde performing arts.
