BroadwayWorld has just learned that the West End revival of Cabaret will open on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre in Spring 2024.

Acclaimed theatre and film producer Patrick Daly and his production house Caledonia Productions (August: Osage County, UNA) has signed a first-look deal with Passenger, which is headed by its founder Richard Brown (This England, True Detective, Catch-22).

BroadwayWorld caught up Beverley Klein and Teddy Kempner, two of the newest cast members, as they take over as Herr Shultz and Fraulein Schneider.

To be certain, Cabaret (in every iteration I have ever seen), represents the awesome power of live theater to challenge preconceived notions while creating a world audiences can only visit when in the thrall of a talented cast of actors inspired to indulge in fantasy while maintaining an earthbound realism that illuminates the human condition at any possible time in human history.

Body 115, an energetic blend of theatre and richly lyrical poetry, written and performed by Jan Noble opens at the Hope Theatre, London on 5 May (Press night 9 May).

The 2023 Audie Awards recognizes distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Billy Porter won for Best Autobiography/Memoir for his Finding Me audiobook. Viola Davis’ Finding Me, which she wrote and narrated, and published by HarperCollins Publishers, earned two Audie Awards. The Audio Publishers Association has announced finalists for the 2023 Audie Awards®, the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment.
