OVO's Roman Theatre Open Air Festival will kick off its 12th season with a new adaptation of SHERLOCK HOLMES, directed by RTS award-winner Mark O'Sullivan, featuring four actors playing 25 characters.
Melbourne audiences will be introduced to both familiar and new faces in the reimagined production. Including many of the original cast, returning performers are Gareth Reeves as Harry Potter, Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Michael Whalley as Ron Weasley, Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Ben Walter as Albus Potter, Nyx Calder as Scorpius Malfoy, Aisha Aidara as Rose Granger-Weasley/Young Hermione and Jessica Vickers as Delphi Diggory.

The Melbourne production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child reopened officially yesterday, February 25, 2021. The production had previously closed on March 16 due to the health crisis, and remained suspended until December, when it was announced that performances were set to resume on February 25.
Multi-award-winning theatrical event Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will resume performances in Melbourne on February 25, after a hiatus of 49 weeks. The landmark production suspended a record-breaking run at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre after public health measures were imposed by the government due to COVID 19.
Establishing itself as the premier attraction for visitors to Melbourne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has extended the booking period with new tickets made available for performances up until and including Sunday, July 12th, 2020. From this Friday 11 January the Australian premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will begin releasing 40 tickets for every performance of the play for $40 per part. These tickets are known as the "Friday Forty" and are for some of the best seats in the theatre. They will be released each Friday for the following week's performances. Entries for the first Friday Forty are now open and close at 1:00PM AEDT on Friday 11 January.
