Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's own professional theatre company and conservatory welcomes six Chinese students and their families to participate in a week of GET's Conservatory summer theatre camp. All the way from Hangzhou, Hunan Province in China, the students and their families will join GET's conservatory students in Roswell, GA for part two of the new cultural exchange with a Chinese-based company called 'Future Star'.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company and conservatory has been invited to participate in a cultural exchange with China to teach drama to children in the city of Hangzhou, Hunan Province. And, as a second part of the exchange, 20 five-year olds and their families from China will travel to Roswell this summer to participate in a week of GET's Conservatory summer theatre camp.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a musical farce based on the 1988 film of the same name, opened on Friday evening at Atlanta Lyric Theatre, and despite the fact that the book by Jeffrey Lane doesn't manage the governing tension of the story as well as its film predecessor and that the music by David Yazbek is mostly forgettable, the production represents a decidedly successful outing for the Atlanta Lyric Theatre. A great cast, boasting standout performances by Chase Peacock in the role of Freddy Benson and Jessica De Maria in the role of Muriel Eubanks, and designed-to-impress choreography by Lauren Brooke Tatum provide all the makings for a fun evening at the theatre.

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), presents MACBETH, by William Shakespeare. Directed by Amy Holtcamp with original music by GRAMMY nominee John Burke, the show opened on June 22nd and runs to July 9th. MACBETH is being produced at The Waterfall in Serenbe. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by the Alliance Theatre, at 6:30pm in The Circle Room, on the third floor, 1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309.
