The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, has announced a Special Summer 2017 Musicals in Mufti presentation of the hit Broadway revue Jerry's Girls, with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and concept by Larry Alford, Wayne Cilento, and Jerry Herman, featuring the greatest songs for women from such immortal musicals as Mame, Hello Dolly!, Milk and Honey, Mack and Mabel, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine and La Cage Aux Folles. 

After a two-decade absence, internationally acclaimed West End and New York singing star Lorna Dallas returns to the world of cabaret with her new show, 'Home Again,' at Live at Zedel at Crazy Coqs, 20 Sherwood Street London W1, on Tuesday 27 June and Tuesday 4 July.

(mostly)musicals will return to Upstairs at Vitello's (formerly the E Spot Lounge)  for their 24th edition, Independent MEANS, on Monday, July 3rd at 7:30pm.

The Wick Theatre (www.thewick.org) recently announced its exciting 2017/2018 season. The Boca Raton theatre's fifth season opens with the modern classic The Drowsy Chaperone and then moves into three productions audiences have embraced as both film and stage productions including A Wonderful Life, based on the beloved Frank Capra film; Singin' in the Rain, the quintessential MGM movie musical and the classic, Brigadoon.

Uptown Players continues its 2017 season with the hit musical La Cage Aux Folles, running July 14 - 30, 2017 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.

The new Broadway production of Hello, Dolly! starring Bette Midler just had its best week ever on the heels of its four Tony Award wins, including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Actress in a Musical (Ms. Midler), Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Gavin Creel), and Best Costume Design of a Musical (Santo Loquasto). 

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT), continues their 2017 season with a Cole Porter classic. Winner of the 1987 and 2011 Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical, Anything Goes returns to the MHT stage for the first time since 2010.

For the second production in their 46th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the fabulous and flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles, which boasts a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the play by Jean Poiret, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. As a playwright, Fierstein is well-known for the musical Newsies and the current Broadway production of Kinky Boots; Herman is best known as the composer of Hello Dolly and Mame. While La Cage Aux Folles is a multiple Tony-Award winning musical and one of Broadway's all time greatest hits, the story is perhaps best known as the movie The Birdcage, which starred Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. 

The Possum Point Players are still seeking directors for their 2018 Main Stage Season.  Director Selection Chair Jim Hartzell has set a deadline of July 1 for submission of application forms.

THE JIMMY AWARDS have announced that 74 high school students from across America will compete for the award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress as well as other honors and scholarships at the ninth annual awards ceremony. The presentation will take place on Monday, June 26th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan.

The Playbillies have just unveiled a new bluegrass cover of 'Put On Your Sunday Clothes' from the Broadway musical HELLO, DOLLY! by Jerry Herman to celebrate the current revival cast's recent success at the Tony Awards, where the production won for Best Revival, Best Actress (Bette Midler), Best Featured Actor (Gavin Creel) and Best Costume Design!

Hello, Dolly! has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Michael Stewart's (book) and Jerry Herman's (music and lyrics) masterpiece, Hello, Dolly!, returns to Broadway starring none other than Bette Midler. Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, Hello, Dolly! is playing Broadway's legendary Shubert Theatre.

Santo Loquasto has won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical for HELLO, DOLLY!.

The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT), after a successful run of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, continues its 49th season with the 2004 musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Based off of the 1988 movie of the same name, the 10-time Tony nominated musical by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane will be a MHT premiere.
