World Music Institute will present Song of the North, created and directed by Hamid Rahmanian in March.

Brooklyn Academy of Arts presents the North American premiere of Hamid Rahmanian's newest large-scale cinematic live performance, Song of the North. Created and directed by Rahmanian and produced by Melissa Hibbard, the show will employ shadow puppetry, animation, movement, an original music score by Ramin Torkian with lead vocals by Azam Ali, and voiced dialogue to interactively tell a tale adapted from the Book of Kings (Shahnameh).

Bill's 44th (a 55-minute comedic puppet show for adults) created by Dorothy James and Andy Manjuck, returns for 9 live performances at Dixon Place in New York City, January 11-15, 2022.

This adults-only puppet show will include various marionettes, masks, hand puppets, object theater, burlesque puppets, giant puppets, and more.

Dixon Place presents Unicorn Afterlife by Justin Perkins as part of its Spring 2021 Production Season of puppetry commissions, performed for in-person and virtual audiences May 5-8, 2021 at 7:30pm EDT with video on demand (VOD) streaming available following the live premiere through May 18, 2021. 

Dixon Place presents Concrete Temple Theater's next multi-media puppet-theater creation PACKRAT, written and directed by Renee Philippi with puppetry design and construction by Carlo Adinolfi and an original score by Lewis Flinn. PACKRAT begins performances on Friday, January 31 for a limited engagement through Friday, February 14. Performances are at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street, between Rivington & Delancey). The performance schedule is Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $19 in advance; $22 at the door. (For Students/Seniors/ID NYC: $17 in advance and $20 at-the-door.) Each month for the last year, Theater of the Apes has plucked a long forgotten volume from the shelves of the New York Society Library to resurrect as a low budget variety show.

As part of its Fall Puppet Performance Series, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will present The Case of the Missing Kitten by WonderSpark Puppets of New York City on September 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Ballard Institute Theater, located at 1 Royce Circle in Storrs Center.

The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will host its Fall Puppet Performance Series on four Saturdays from September to December 2017, featuring outstanding works for puppet theater by professional puppeteers from across the Northeast and beyond. Each show will be performed twice, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
