Williamstown Theatre Festival Announces 2022 Summer Season

Interim Artistic Director Jenny Gersten announced that the 2022 Williamstown Theatre Festival summer season, the Tony Award-winning theater company's 68th, will be a return to indoor performances featuring three productions: one production on the Main Stage and two productions on the Nikos Stage.

Fans were dying for BEETLEJUICE to come back, and thanks to their support the Ghost-with-the-Most will return from the dead to blow the roof off Broadway’s Marquis Theatre beginning Friday, April 8, 2022. To celebrate, a wall outside the Marquis will be dedicated to BEETLEJUICE Fan Art for all the living to see.

As part of its continued growth and evolution, Williamstown Theatre Festival (WTF) today announced the appointment of Jenny Gersten to the role of Interim Artistic Director. Gersten rejoins the Festival after an eight-year hiatus, bringing a unique combination of a broad Festival knowledge base and fresh, new thinking to lead the team for the 2022 season. This marks the latest step in WTF's evolution of the organization to build on its formidable history of producing groundbreaking work and fostering the next generations of theatre artists.

Theatre Ventures (Mark Kaufman) and Langley Park Productions (Kevin McCormick), announced Beetlejuice broke the Winter Garden Box Office Record for an 8 performance week with a gross of $1,589,838.90, the week ending December 1, 2019. The previous record was held by SCHOOL OF ROCK with a gross of $1,506,236.20, for the week ending December 27, 2015.
