Self-made billionaire Richard and his best friend Dick were both married to the same woman: strong willed Mavis. When she drops in uninvited on Christmas Eve--the day of Richard's daughter's wedding--all hell breaks loose. Reminiscent of The Philadelphia Story, this bromantic comedy of love and breakups is alternately irreverent, ridiculous and tender-reminding audiences why marriage and divorce make for strange bedfellows.

Subprime - a dark comedy about the personal consequences of the financial crisis - has its world premier in Jersey City next week.

Veteran publicist Beck Lee is coming out!  His dark comedy "Subprime," which represents his professional debut as a playwright, premieres in a workshop production at the Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) in June.  It could be the easiest-to-get-to out-of-town try-out on record… just a PATH ride away.  And you are invited to cover it!

Trinity Rep continues its commitment to new plays with the world premiere of Veronica Meadows by Stephen Thorne, directed by Michael Perlman in Trinity Rep's intimate Dowling Theater from April 3 to May 4, 2014. Girl detective Veronica Meadows has been solving small town crimes for as long as anyone can remember. Time and time again, they stop the evil-doers in their tracks and heroically save the day. That is, until the day our plucky girl detective stops following the rules of the game and takes a dangerous turn into the unknown. This world premiere is a darkly comic gem from Stephen Thorne, resident actor and playwright of The Completely Fictional- Utterly True - Final Strange Tale of Edgar Allan Poe. Yankee Wives, produced by The Group Theatre Too in association with Ellen Sandhaus will play the Hudson Guild Theater, 441 West 26th Street, with performances tonight, August 29th through September 15th.

'Yankee Wives,' written and directed by David Rimmer (Pulitzer finalist for 'Album,' author of 'New York') is a sexy, irreverent comedy which looks behind the scenes at six women thrown together because their husbands happen to play for the same Major League Baseball team. The play imagines the personalities behind their public, camera-ready smiles, revealing the nerve-wracking and often comic side of being married to 'big babies with big egos' who rely on them for indispensable support. Ultimately, the play portrays how these women are transformed into a team-within-a-team, collectively enduring by tradition and necessity their husbands' pressures, frailities, superstitions, disappointments and philanderings. Group Theatre Too will present the play's New York premiere August 29 to September 15 at Hudson Guild Theater, 441 West 26th Street.

Joseph Gallo's male-bonding play about three friends from New Jersey is a hilarious insight in the typical male ego as it relates to women, sports, beer.... and of course, male friendship. The pact they make is to "kidnap" and prevent the third friend from making poor decisions, hence the "Two-Man Kidnapping Rule."

Artistic New Directions (Artistic Co-Directors, Kristine Niven & Janice L. Goldberg) will present the World Premiere of Jennifer Lane's heart-wrenching psychological drama, "PSYCHOMACHIA," as their 26th Anniversary Season's first production, in association with Shetler Studios & Theatres.
