Just yesterday in New York City, world renowned magician Antonio Diaz aka “El Mago Pop” received a Guinness World Record for highest weekly gross of a solo show on Broadway, recognizing his historic run at the Barrymore Theatre in August 2023.

Ariana DeBose, actor, singer, and host of the upcoming 77th Annual Tony Awards will be appearing on CBS Mornings next week as part of their 'Road to the Tonys' segment. The program will air on Thursday, June 13 from 7:00-9:00 AM on CBS.

According to a new report, Utkarsh Ambudkar will be alongside Rachael Leigh Cook in a new film loosely based on her own experiences as a young actress in Hollywood. Ambudkar plays Molly(Cook)'s high school sweetheart Advay, who she leaves when she makes it big time as a star in a major 90s romcom. 25 years later, Molly returns to her hometown and reunites with Advay.

Several theatrical audio projects are due to stream on Audible in June, including a recording of Laura Benanti's solo show Nobody Cares (which is running through June 2 at the Minetta Lane Theater), Colman Domingo's play Wild With Happy, and Alex Newell and the Gospel of a Diva.

Lee Wilkof, who played Seymour in the original Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors, is currently developing a short film called Teenage Waistband. The film is based on Wilkof's own experiences, with the goal of illuminating the racial disparity in America in the 1960's. Teenage Waistband is being funded by donors on Kickstarter and, as of May 29, has reached its campaign goal.

According to reports, Broadway couple Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are set to executive produce a new documentary about Fire Island Pines. The documentary, titled A House is Not a Disco, made its world premiere at the 2024 2024 SXSW Film & TV Festival. It is directed by Brian J. Smith and documents a year-in-the-life in the world’s most iconic “homo-normative” community: Fire Island Pines.

Ben Platt is coming back to Broadway! The Tony winner will play a three-week concert residency in May at Broadway's recently remodeled Palace Theatre.

Oh, boy! Oh, Mary! is coming to Broadway! Written by and starring Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the New York Times Critic’s Pick will begin previews at the Lyceum Theatre on June 26.
