Winners have been announced for AVENUE Q's contest to suggest what is in the box that the musical's HILLARY CLINTON puppet is giving to the DONALD TRUMP puppet.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company presents 'Smart Love,' a world premiere play by Grosse Pointe native Brian Letscher.

Bakersfield Mist by Stephen Sachs, the Fountain's smash hit comedy that went on to see productions around the world including London's West End, will return to the Fountain for a limited 4-week engagement beginning Nov. 19. Sachs will again direct, with Jenny O'Hara (Transparent, The Mindy Project) and Nick Ullett (As the WorldTurns) reprising the roles they created.

Yesterday, Stonestreet Studios celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Taj lounge in Chelsea, honoring Miles Teller who was presented with the first annual Stonestreet Granite Award. Teller, who studied at Stonestreet's immersive conservatory program for two years was a guest of honor at the event, and was recognized for his remarkable work in the film industry.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), announces that today, November 15, former SDC President and 2016 recipient of the Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement Marshall W. The Purple Rose Theatre, Yankee Air Museum and Friends of the Chelsea District Library will honor America's Veterans with a concert reading by professional actors of The Purple Rose of the new play Willow Run by Jeff Duncan, playwright in residence at the Wild Swan Theatre in Ann Arbor. Miles Teller will be the guest of honor and be presented with the first annual Stonestreet Granite Award at Stonestreet Studios' 25th anniversary celebration, to held on November 14th at TAJ in Chelsea. He will be presented the award by John Cameron Mitchell, who directed Teller in his first feature film role in 'Rabbit Hole.'

The European premiere of David Bowie and Enda Walsh's Lazarus begins tonight, October 25, in a brand-new, 900-seat venue at Kings Cross Theatre, London.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company (PRTC) recently named David Ligotti to the board of directors for a three-year term.  At the annual meeting the board also re-elected its officers for the 2016-17 season.
