UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will continue its 2014 Unsung concert series at 54 Below with Unsung Bob Merrill and Unsung Carolyn Leigh, Vol. 2, following its recent sold-out, critically acclaimed Unsung Carolyn Leigh concert for Lincoln Center's American Songbook. The two all-new evenings are created and directed by Ben West (Unsung Carolyn Leigh, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad) with musical direction and arrangements by Fran Minarik (Unsung Carolyn Leigh, At Home Abroad).

Jennifer Ashley Tepper's The Untold Stories of Broadway, Volume 2 officially hit the shelves yesterday, November 18, from Dress Circle Publishing. The second book in a multivolume collection examines eight Broadway theaters and over 70 years of theatrical history through the voices of such Broadway greats as Jason Robert Brown, Joanna Gleason, Jonathan Groff,Jeremy Jordan,Laura Linney, Joe Mantello, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Robert Morse, Harold Prince, Charles Strouse, Alex Timbers, Julie Taymor, Robert Wankel, George C. Wolfe and more. The eight Broadway theaters featured in the second book are the Palace Theatre, the Barrymore Theatre, the Gershwin Theatre, the Circle in the Square, the Shubert Theatre, the Criterion Center Stage Right, the Vivian Beaumont Theatre and the Nederlander Theatre. Tepper and her Broadway friends just celebrated the launch of the book at Sardis and you can check out photos from the special event below!

Pentatonix's Kirstin Maldonado and other outstanding artists from the worlds of Broadway, television, film and other mediums came together last night, November 3, 2014 for the fourth annual Broadway Unlocked Give Back Concert an interactive, livestreamed benefit concert celebrating the work of the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC) of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. Performers included Kirstin Maldonado, Kate Wetherhead,Barrett Wilbert Weed, Tituss Burgess, Keala Settle, Nathan Tysen & Chris Miller, Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk, Joey Contreras, Adam Gwon, Jeff Bowen, Georgia Stitt,Hunter Bell and more, with 5J Barrow returning as the Broadway Unlocked House Band. Dress Circle Publishing has announced the release of famed Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky's first book in a new series titled Seth's Broadway Diary featuring "hi-lairous" stories from such Broadway greats as Patti LuPone, Chita Rivera, Raul Esparza, Jonathan Groff and more. Seth's Broadway Diary, the first in a multivolume collection, can be pre-ordered by visiting Dress Circle Publishing and will officially release on October 22, 2014.

The National Music Theater Institute (NMTI) is the newest credit-earning, semester-long intensive from the National Theater Institute.
