Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car took three top awards from the Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA), while Maggie Gyllenhaal’s directorial debut The Lost Daughter also won. Auntie Anne's®, the world's largest hand-rolled soft pretzel franchise, is partnering for the seventh year with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) to fund childhood cancer research. Since establishing a partnership with ALSF in September 2011, Auntie Anne's has raised more than $3.7 million to help fund life-saving research, resulting in more than 74,000 cancer research hours.

Katie-Jay Scott Stauring, Director of Community Programming for the Redondo Beach-based i-ACT, a non-profit grassroots activist organization, announced today: "i-ACT raised $25,000 at our fundraiser held on Saturday evening, May 12, 2012 to benefit 15 team members and five alternates players to support our Darfur United All-Refugee Soccer Team on their journey to compete for the coveted Nelson Mandela Trophy in the Viva World Cup Soccer Tournament in Iraqi Kurdistan this June."
