Omaha Playhouse Presents PARADE

Parade, the true story of a Jewish man wrongfully accused of murdering a young girl in a small Southern town, will run at the Omaha Community Playhouse February 9 - March 11, 2018 in the Howard Drew Theatre.

Broadway-Bound TOOTSIE Starring Santino Fontana Will Play Pre-Run in Chicago

TOOTSIE's story is hitting the stage! Scott Sanders Productions announced today that the world premiere of the new comedy musical, TOOTSIE, will play a pre-Broadway engagement this fall at Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL) from September 11 October 14. TOOTSIE will come to Broadway in spring 2019.

Jeremy Jordan Joins Broadway Concert Series in San Francisco

Encores! Off-Center Season Announced; GONE MISSING to Honor Michael Friedman

Encores! Off-Center Co-Artistic Directors Anne Kauffman and Jeanine Tesori today announced programming for the 2018 season of New York City Center's acclaimed summer musical theater series. The season will open, June 27through 30, with Jason Robert Brown's breakout musical Songs for a New World and close with Micki Grant and Vinnette Carroll's vibrant, radical 1971 work Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, July 25 through 28. The centerpiece of the season will be a special two-night-only engagement (July 11 & 12) of Gone Missing, honoring composer and Off-Center Artistic Director Michael Friedman, whose life was tragically cut short last summer.

OOTB Announces 2018 MainStage Off-Broadway Season

Producing Founding Artistic Director Liz Flemming, Associate Artistic Director, Ethan Paulini and Out of the Box Theatrics announced their 2018. The season will open with Adam Rapp's Nocturne followed by Cheryl Stern's new musical Shoes and Baggage and closing out the season will be James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Early Bird Subscriptions ($75) are now available. Regular subscriptions priced ($93) go on sale January 22. Single tickets ($30-$42) go on sale February 12. Also in 2018, OOTB will offer it's new #Box4All program. For each production an extremely limited number of $15 tickets will be available to audience members under 25. Musical Theatre Guild Continues Season with HIGH SOCIETY

Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 22nd Anniversary season with Cole Porter's HIGH SOCIETY. The one-night-only concert will take place at Glendale's historic Alex Theatre on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

Alan Schmuckler, Amanda Yesnowitz and Christian Duhamel Win the 2018 Kleban Prize

The Kleban Foundation just announced the recipients of the 28th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tiebetween Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, andthe 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel. The 2018 prizes will be presented on Monday, February 5, 2018, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP.

Tickets Now On Sale for PARADE at Omaha Playhouse

Tickets for Omaha Community Playhouse's upcoming production of Parade are now on sale through the OCP box office. The production will run February 9 through March 11 in OCP's Howard Drew Theatre.
