The CAMEO 2013 season marks the 10-year anniversary of summer musicals in the Medina Performing Arts Center. In its first production in 2003, My Fair Lady, Medina native Rachel Spetrino was just 14 years old and was cast as a flower girl. This year Ms. Spetrino returns to direct her second CAMEO production, Songs for a New World, which opens August 9. Musical direction will be by another Medina high school alum, Tom Bonezzi. Kokandy Productions presents the musical 'The Last Five Years', today, August 2 through 25 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. Traditionally, 'The Last Five Years' is performed by two actors accompanied by musicians; the Kokandy Productions concept has cast Jim DeSelm and Allison Hendrix to portray Jamie and Catherine respectively as well as accompany their performance on two pianos. John D. Glover directs, DeSelm and Hendrix are co-musical directors and K. Hannah Friedman serves as assistant director.

The producers of I Forgive You, Ronald Reagan, the new play by John S. Anastasi, in which the present is on a collision course with the past, present the limited Off-Broadway run this summer. Directed by Charles Abbott, performances began at The Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Aves.) on Monday, July 15. Opening Night is set for tonight, Tuesday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. The show is scheduled to play through August 25th.
Christine Pedi performed recently at French Woods Summer camp for a one night concert. With Michael Martin Ward at the piano, Pedi sang all her famous tunes. Christine Pedi has a long association with the satirical revue Forbidden Broadway and a Drama Desk nomination for Forbidden Hollywood, having played both shows in New York, London and around the world.
