Canyon Crest Academy (CCA) Envision Theatre will present William Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night', guest directed by Jason Maddy, from today, February 28 - March 8, 2014 at the CCA Black Box Theatre.

Scott Fitzgerald's classic 1920's Jazz Age epic has been adapted for the stage, and is the next installment in GET's record-setting season. Directed by founding company member Tess Malis Kincaid, the show runs today, February 27 through March 16, 2014, at the Theatre's home, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest Street, Roswell, GA. The production is generously sponsored by The Bank of North Georgia.

THE BEST OF BROADWAY concert selections include rousing renditions of Broadway show tunes, accompanied by the Center Stage Opera orchestra, led spectacularly by guest conductor Ryan Rowles. Mark Shunock, who plays Lonny the narrator in the hit musical 'Rock Of Ages,' along with various Strip entertainers wowed audiences and raised thousands of dollars during the fourth edition of 'Mondays Dark' on Monday, February 17th. This monthly charity event held at Vinyl, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's intimate music venue will donate100 percent of the ticket proceeds from the Monday's show, which featured the music of Queen, to The Saint Therese Center HIV Outreach. Virginia Repertory Theatre opens their biggest show in the Children's season, Shrek, The Musical on Friday, March 14 at the Children's Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive. The show will run through April 27, 2014 and is based on the Academy Award-winning film, Shrek. With book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, the timeless fairytale of rescued damsel in distress takes many fun and quirky twists as the green and stinky swampland ogre saves Princess Fiona and wins her love. The show lasts about two hours with intermission and is best enjoyed by children and adults alike 5 years and older

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of Olympus on My Mind on Friday, January 31 at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road. The show runs through Sunday, March 16. This contemporary musical comedy retells the Greek Amphitryon legend where Jupiter comes to Earth in human form to woo beautiful Alcmene, wife of Amphitryon. Jupiter appears to her in the body of her absent husband and quickly wins her love. Things go swimmingly until the real Amphitryon returns from war. This production is one part of the Acts of Faith Festival. First produced Off- Broadway in 1986, the book and lyrics are by Barry Harman with music by Grant Sturiale. Olympus on My Mind won an Outer Critics Award for Best Lyrics and received three Drama Desk nominations.

Seattle Shakespeare Company starts the New Year with its own production of Richard II directed by Rosa Joshi. Artistic Director George Mount will play the title role in a cast that features 16 actors.

Raven Theatre will present THE PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD, by J.M. Synge, and directed by Michael Menedian. The show will begin previews on Feb. 4, and continue through Feb. 9, with ticket prices at $22. Opening night is set for Feb. 10, and the show wil run through April 5, Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 3 pm Tickets $36, $15 for students, teachers and military personnel, $5 discount for seniors

Randy Weiner's newest genre-crossing, environmental experience, Queen of the Night, which begins tonight, December 31, 2013, has announced casting for its six week run at legendary supper club, Diamond Horseshoe. The premier offering of the newly reopening supper club, Queen of the Night features a cast of thirty-three multi-genre performers from the world of circus, modern dance, theater, nightlife, and magic.
