Liza Minnelli and Miss Coco Peru Raise Over $45K for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center

For the eighth installment of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's ongoing series, Conversations With Coco -- Miss Coco Peru's series of live, unscripted interviews with celebrated performing artists -- the L.A. drag legend welcomed the legendary, entertainer Liza Minnelli to the Center's Renberg Theatre. Like her previous get-togethers with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin Miss Coco prepared a multi-media presentation featuring highlights of Ms. Minnelli's storied career and a casual yet in-depth conversation.

His new book of the same title is a collection of stories and essays that has garnered rave reviews, as has the show he created from the book.

Comic Julie Goldman Headlines at L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre Tonight

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center presents one of the hottest young comedians working today: the hilarious Julie Goldman. A star of LOGO's The Big Gay Sketch Show, Goldman returns to the Center's Renberg Theatre tonight, January 25, at 8 p.m. Net proceeds will benefit the full range of the Center's free and low-cost programs and services.

THE BEAST OF TIMES Encore Set for Renberg Theatre, 1/31-2/2

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center presents a special, encore weekend of performances of The Beast of Times, the incisively production written and performed by the award-winning queer Xicana playwright and performer Adelina Anthony with a contributed monologue performed by Sri Lankan-American transgender performance artist D'Lo.

Returning to the Center's Renberg Theatre in December, Jordan's latest showiz epic will guarantee to make your holidays merry and bright! The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center is set to present the Los Angeles premiere of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later at the Davidson/Valenti Theatre with preview performances tonight and tomorrow, September 11 and 12, and the official opening set for Friday, September 13 at 8pm. Written by Moises Kaufman, Leigh Fondakowski, Greg Pierotti, Andy Paris and Stephen Belber, and directed by Ken Sawyer, the production will run through November 16.

Vickie Shaw Brings Stand-Up to Renberg Theatre Tonight

StandOut Productions and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center present a one-night-only evening of stand-up comedy with Vickie Shaw at the Center's Renberg Theatre tonight, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. In addition to general admission tickets, VIP tickets are available that include preferred seating and a post-show reception with Ms. Shaw.

Lily Tomlin to Host 2013 Women's Media Awards, 8/10

The one and only Lily Tomlin will host The 2013 Women's Media Awards this year. Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan and Gloria Steinem, Co-Founders of the Women's Media Center, made the announcement. This celebration will be held on October 8th at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. Tables and tickets can be purchased now.
