If you have followed the poetry scene in New York City over the last 20 years you already know Jane LeCroy and she's been adapting her poems into song for just as long. She debuted her band The Icebergs with the album Eldorado in 2017 and is starting to roll new music this fall with a series of singles and shows in New York.
The radical ideas of Valerie Solanas explode in 'S.C.U.M.: The Valerie Solanas Story,' a play by Kat Georges, directed by Peter Carlaftes. New York-based ??(OHMSLICE) will be releasing its debut album Conduit September 8 on Imaginator Records. The album was recorded at Ft.Lb Studios in Brooklyn, produced by the outfit's primum mobile multi-instrumentalist Bradford Reed (King Missile III, inventor of the electric board zither called the 'pencilina') .
Carol Lipnik & Spookarama and Jane Lecroy & Transmitting will perform a double bill at The Black Box Theater on Saturday, October 24th at 8pm, 308 West 133rd Street (between St Nicholas Ave and Fredrick Douglas Blvd), $10.
