The new Broadway production of AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL, directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf), with a book by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas (The Light in the Piazza), music by Daniel Messe and lyrics by Nathan Tysen & Messe, starring Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo and Adam Chanler-Berat, opens next Monday, April 3, 2017 at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street).

Producers just announced the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the much anticipated AME?LIE, A NEW MUSICAL, by a new imprint of the Warner Music Group. The original Broadway cast recording will be available for pre-order starting Thursday, March 9, 2017, and will be released on Friday, May 19, 2017 (online) and Friday, June 9, 2017 (in stores). Michael Croiter will serve as album executive producer; Daniel Messe? and Gary Maurer will serve as producers; and Nathan Tysen will serve as associate producer. Classic Stage Company has announced complete casting for their upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Pacific Overtures, directed and designed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, beginning performances Thursday, April 6 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 27.

Florida Grand Opera (FGO) General Director and CEO Susan T. Danis today unveiled plans for the company's 2017-18 season. Anchored by the theme 'Divas to Die For,' FGO's seventy-seventh season will boast a diverse range of works about women on dangerous emotional journeys.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the world premiere production of Roe written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Bill Rauch. Roe is a co-production with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage.

Following an acclaimed run at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lisa Loomer's world-premiere drama Roe makes its D.C. debut at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. Directed by Bill Rauch, the drama focuses on the two women at the heart of the landmark Roe v. Wade case-plaintiff Norma McCorvey and her attorney Sarah Weddington-and documents their shockingly divergent journeys following the case, that would come to mirror the polarization in American culture. Roe is a co-production with Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Berkeley Repertory Theatre and runs January 12-February 19, 2017 in the Kreeger Theater.
