SHAKESPEARE ON THE SOUND Comes to Rowaton

Directed by Artistic Director Claire Shannon Kelly, MACBETH will transform the idyllic Pinkney Park on the Five Mile River to the eerie Scottish Highlands.  Kelly wants the production to be an immersive experience for the audience; Macbeth's journey will be their journey too.  

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company Announces Casting for ROMEO & JULIET

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) announced today the complete cast of its 22nd production of Free Shakespeare on the Common, William Shakespeare's immortal drama Romeo & Juliet, directed by Allegra Libonati. Performances are free of charge, and will take place on the Boston Common, near the Parkman Bandstand.

Midnight Theatricals will present the World Premiere of the play AFTERGLOW, written and directed by S. Asher Gelman. Beginning performances on June 12 and opening Friday, June 23 at The Loft at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45 Street), it will be an Off-Broadway kick-off to the Pride Parade and will have an initial run through August 5, 2017. Following critically acclaimed, sold-out runs at Don't Tell Mama and the 2016 New York Musical Festival (NYMF), Midnight at The Never Get, conceived by and starring Sam Bolen and Mark Sonnenblick, with book, music and lyrics by Mr. Sonnenblick, directed by Max Friedman (Ruby Manger Live!, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band), and produced by Michael Chase Gosselin (POPE! An Epic Musical, The Most Miserable Christmas Tree), will return home to Don't Tell Mama (342 West 46th Street) on Tuesday, March 14 at 8pm for a special one-night-only concert to celebrate receiving a 2017 Bistro Award for 'Book Musical,' and a 2017 MAC Award nomination for 'Show Of The Year.'
