The upcoming season is filled with award winning actors that grace stages off and on Broadway, leading theater administrators, and thought-provoking playwrights and directors.
Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's professional award-winning theatre company currently in its 33rd Season, will start the new year off with Sylvia, by A.R. Gurney. Sylvia is a smart, playful, and occasionally gritty comedy about two 'empty-nesters' who meet a dog that quickly becomes a bone of contention between them and tests their marriage to a hilarious and touching degree. Sylvia will run February 7th-23rd with performances on Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

Kevin Mills will return to the Alhambra from February 7 11, 2018 with his award-winning tribute to Elvis in a new show, Elvis is Back! The Rave-Ons, led by one of Alhambra's most popular performers, Todd Meredith, will bring their rendition of Buddy Holly & The Crickets to the Alhambra from March 28 April 1, 2018 in a show entitled, That'll Be the Day. The 2018 Alhambra Theatre & Dining season launches January 3 with the Marvelous Wonderettes. This smashing off-Broadway hit takes place at the Springfield High School Prom in 1958 where the audience is introduced to the The Wonderettes, a four-girl tour-de-force with hopes, dreams and voices as big as their crinoline skirts. The show follows their lives and loves from their prom night until they reunite on stage for their 10-year reunion. Audiences in other cities have been found singing and dancing in the aisles as The Wonderettes sing classic hits from the 1950's and 1960's including Lollipop Dream Lover Stupid Cupid and Lipstick on your Collar.

On Monday, September 18th, Jamie Farr's management announced that he has withdrawn from the upcoming national production of Tuesdays with Morrie. With this announcement, the Orpheum Theatre Group has decided to cancel the Tuesdays with Morrie engagement originally scheduled for December 2-3, 2017 at the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education.
Due to circumstances beyond its control, the McAninch Arts Center's presentation of LPP Theatricals production of Tuesdays With Morrie starring Jamie Farr scheduled for Sept. 30 has been cancelled.The box office will be contacting ticket holders to Tuesdays With Morrie to arrange a refund or exchange to tickets for another show in the MAC's 2017-2018 season.
