Coming to The Green Room 42, the hilarious, manic, and heartwarming musical spoof, Gutenberg! The Musical! An overwhelmingly enthusiastic pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers' audition for their new project: a big, splashy musical about printing press inventor, Johann Gutenberg. Writers Bud and Doug sing all the songs and play all the parts in their crass historical epic, with the hope that one of the producers in attendance will give them a Broadway contract; fulfilling their ill-advised, yet hearteningly sincere dreams.

One of the most gorgeous voices in New York belongs to the four time Tony Award nominee for Excellence in Theatre Education, Corinna Sowers Adler, who returns to The Green Room in her acclaimed show Second Stories on Friday, December 7 at 7pm and Sunday, December 9 at 2pm.

The infamous Skivvies team up for their Green Room 42 return by popular demand in their well-miss SUNDAY BRUNCH PARTY. Known for their hit duo act that has toured the country stripping down music with Broadway guests, Lauren Molina and Nick Cearly are at the forefront of the cabaret industry. A deeply personal show, it traces her journey from stage to motherhood and back again, sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor and honesty. Featuring music from both the worlds of musical theatre and pop, it has everything from Laura Nyro to Sara Bareilles, from Working to Wicked, also including the iconic songs that were highlights in her career. Feels Like Home is a musical melting pot, performed by her phenomenal 6 piece band made up of some of the best, award-winning musicians that NYC has to offer. Join her for an unforgettable journey!

The opening night celebration of THE WONDERFUL WINTER OF OZ on December 14 will also serve as a benefit for the GiveKidsPanto program.  Lythgoe Family Panto created GiveKidsPanto, a non-profit educational program, serving over 6,000 Title 1 students across America annually. For many of these students, this is their first opportunity to see live theater.  GiveKidsPanto raises funds, which allows each LFP production across the country to add a student matinee to their performance schedule.  The funds raised through GiveKidsPanto go to facilitate the student's bus transportation to and from the theater as well as buy the tickets to the performances.  Last year at the Pasadena Civic alone, over 2,000 students from the Pasadena and Greater Los Angeles area schools were brought in to see a performance of Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Rose.  For more information please contact events@americanpanto.com

The starry lineup is set for the fourth concert in the new Broadway Sings spinoff series, Broadway Sings: Unplugged. On November 26 at 7pm and 9:30pm, The Green Room 42 will present Unplugged: Sara Bareilles, featuring original "unplugged" arrangements of the singer-songwriter's hits, orchestrated for an acoustic band.

CO/LAB Theater Group is excited up to present its 10th CO/LABaret, a yearly benefit concert to support our programs. To celebrate, we're bringing back our favorite songs from each of the previous CO/LABarets for one spectacular night of music, featuring some of NYC's finest vocal talent in The Best of CO/LABaret. This year's concert will take place on Sunday, October 28 at 7PM at the Green Room 42.

Broadway actress-singer Raissa Katona Bennett has a very full and exciting calendar of performances getting underway this week, beginning with the premiere of Spoolie Girl, a new and original fractured rock fairytale by Rosemary Loar. Spoolie Girl runs Oct. 17th through Oct. 27th at Actors Temple Theatre.
