'The Shape Of Water' Among Winners of 2018 Producers Guild Awards

The 2018 Producers Guild Awards were announced on Saturday, January 20, in Beverly Hills. The Shape of Water took the prize for best feature. The Handmaid's Tale, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Black Mirror took the top TV prizes.

This time-honored tale of forgiveness plays 17 performances only, Today, December 1 through Saturday, December 23, 2017 (press opening Saturday, December 2 at 8:00 pm). Post show, audience members are invited to enjoy a cup of cider and take photos with the cast.

ANW Announces Pay What You Can Performance of MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION

A Noise Within (ANW) presents the third production of its 26th season, Mrs. Warren's Profession by George Bernard Shaw, directed by Michael Michetti, performing October 8 through November 18, 2017 (Press Opening October 14). Judith Scott, known for her role as Claudia Crane on the current FX series Snowfall, makes her ANW debut as the titular Kitty Warren. A special Pay-What-You-Can performance has been announced for Thursday, October 12 at 7:30 pm.

Amid the horrors of the First World War, The Wipers Times is the unlikely, but true, story of when two officers found a printing press in the bombed out remains of Ypres (Wipers was the soldier's nickname for the town) and decided to produce a satirical paper to lift the spirits of the men. The paper could not print any details of the war due to censorship and so it concentrated on the absurd side of life in the trenches by lampooning the government, generals and mocking all the conditions of war.

The Pigeon King is a collaboration featuring original music all created by The Company. Directed by Severn Thompson, the show plays from August 9 to September 23.  It's a country parable for our times, reminding us that what takes flight always comes home to roost.

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival presents JESSICA LANG DANCE and FAYE DRISCOLL

“A prolific choreographer of skillfully constructed dances that respectfully mesh with music and striking visual design” (The New Yorker), Jessica Lang and her company return to Jacob's Pillow for the ensemble's first Ted Shawn Theatre engagement, July 5-9. In addition to a Pillow-commissioned world premiere work, the program includes Lang's Thousand Yard Stare, a dance embodying the incredible pride and honor as well as the searing loss experienced by military veterans. The program will also include the East Coast and company premiere of Lang's Lyric Pieces as well as Solo Bach, Sweet Silent Thought, and The Calling. This season, the Pillow has formed a partnership with the Tanglewood Music Center, whereby Tanglewood Fellows and alumni will be providing the music accompaniment for this engagement.
