This August, from the 18th through the 21st, the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) hosted its Summer Performing Arts Intensive in Philadelphia! During the intensive, attendees received first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by savvy Broadway veterans who shared their invaluable insider knowledge on the skills needed to make it in show business.

On Sunday, August 1, Christopher and Vicki Le Vine celebrated The Broadway Dreams Foundation's return engagement to Philadelphia with a star-studded benefit fundraiser, hosted by television and Broadway personalities Nicole Parker ('MadTv,' Wicked) and Paul Canaan (MTV's 'Legally Blonde,' La Cage). The benefit was held at Grace Winery's outdoor amphitheatre nestled on the grounds of Sweetwater Farm Bed and Breakfast in the historic Brandywine Valley. There's a nice 'buzz' generating from a small production of 'I DO! I DO!' in San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, taking place in the new Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre venue. The production happened through an alchemy of perfect timing and availability for everyone involved as Lost in Yonkers, directed by Scott Schwartz was originally scheduled to be the first show in the space. The Old Globe's Louis G. Spisto brought the renovation in on time and in-budget with time to spare and had been talking for some time to both stars, who had expressed interest in the piece, which rarely gets high-profile productions.

Productions photos of The Old Globe's Production of 'I Do! I Do!' have just been released. The musical, by the creators of the Fantasticks, plays at the Old Globe in San Diego until December 20 at the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre.

Real-life married couple Paige Davis and Patrick Page will star in a special engagement of I Do! I Do!, the classic Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt musical based on The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog, in The Old Globe's new Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre. The well-loved classic, by the creators of The Fantasticks, spans five decades in the life of a married couple - from the nervousness of their wedding day to the wisdom of old age. I Do! I Do! will run Dec. 11 - 20, 2009. Previews take place on Dec. 11 at 8:00 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Opening night is Saturday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale to subscribers only. A new musical about a runaway slave who becomes one of America's first Black Cowboys will debut this fall when CROSS THAT RIVER is presented by The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Patricia Harris, starting October 12, 2009 at TBG Theatre (312 West 36th Street - 3rd Floor) in New York City.
