If you're a BWW.com regular, you know that we have taken a shine to a relatively new not-for-profit group, The Broadway Dreams Foundation. We saw first-hand, last summer, in Philadelphia and were pretty much blown away. Monday night served as an explosive showcase for the group, who came from all over the country and the evening was put together by Director, Richard Jay-Alexander and Artistic Director, James Kinney. Now, as promised, we have assembled exclusive footage shot by BWW, for you, to see and feel, firsthand, the excitement of Broadway Dreams and what it's like.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation presented their Third Annual New York Benefit Performance at the Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street) on Monday, November 21, 2011. The special evening, which only happens once a year in NYC, got a spontaneous ovation after a non-stop, 100 minute show, which showed off the talents of BDF students and faculty that assembled from across the country to perform and to show the audience what they were about.

For awhile now, we have been receiving press materials and hearing about The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), but never witnessed the group first-hand. Well, that all changed this past Saturday night, in Philadelphia, when we decided to go to the Kimmel Center and see the 2011 Summer-Intensive weekend showcase, this year titled TRUE COLORS. I can honestly say that our jaws dropped. Directed and hosted by the newest addition to their impressive faculty line-up, Richard Jay-Alexander, the evening was like watching a skillfull PLAYLIST of Broadway 'gold' and 'showstoppers.' The evening of entertainment benefits the national non-profit organization that brings young talent closer to their Broadway Dreams though intensive week-long Broadway training programs across the country. Broadway's best will celebrate the holidays in THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION'S Second Annual Holiday Benefit Concert at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.

Broadway stars and Rock stars joined the audience to dance the night away when Rockers on Broadway returned to BB Kings Blues Club last night, November 8th. Directed by Donnie Kehr, ROCKERS ON BROADWAY-Dance Party featured some of the hottest dance tunes from Elvis to GaGa, performed by Broadway stars and the Rock stars who made them famous. The concert benefits Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Dreams Foundation, Broadway in South Africa, and The Bendheim Performing Arts Center Scholarship Fund.

Broadway stars and Rock stars will join the audience to dance the night away when Rockers on Broadway returns to BB Kings Blues Club on Monday, November 8th at 8pm.
