“Perception is a choice!” Sam concludes in his pedantic and condescending tirade about ghosts and “the unexplainable”. Frustratingly, the remarks of such an insolent, smart, and snobbish man keep ringing true to the logical crowd. It’s quite difficult to stage a properly frightening show in a theatre, and that’s perhaps the reason behind Danny Robins’s brand new play 2:22 - A Ghost Story being referred to as a “supernatural thriller” rather than any other horror-related genre.

Hadley Fraser some while ago established himself as one of the most protean actors around: a talent equally at home both in big-name musicals (Les Mis, Young Frankenstein) and Shakespeare (playing Aufidius to Tom Hiddleston’s Coriolanus and Polixenes in The Winter’s Tale, alongside Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench). Now, with theatre in the capital kickstarting anew, Fraser is due to open Aug 11 at the Noel Coward Theatre in 2: 22 – A Ghost Story, which is that modern-day rarity – a stage thriller.

Jenny (Lily Allen) believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam (Hadley Fraser) isn't having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren (Julia Chan) and new partner Ben (Jake Wood). Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they're going to stay up… until 2:22… and then they'll know.

Temple Theatre has announced casting for the World Premiere production of Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust Road. This exciting, original production will be co-produced by Temple Theatre and Hoagy Carmichael's son, Hoagy Bix Carmichael. At the helm of this new musical Journey of Hoagy Carmichael's classic music are co-conceivers director, Susan H. Schulman, choreographer, Michael Lichtefeld, (Broadway: Little Women, The Sound of Music, The Secret Garden, and Sweeney Todd), and music supervisor and arranger, Broadway maestro, Lawrence Yurman (Broadway: War Paint, It Shoulda Been You, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and Grey Gardens).

Temple Theatre announces casting for the World Premiere production of Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust Road

The producers of the smash-hit 'NATIVITY! THE MUSICAL', are thrilled to announce the return of Simon Lipkin as the hilarious 'Mr Poppy' after delighting critics and audiences in the show last year. He will play the role for the entire run opening at The Belgrade Theatre, Coventry on 23 October and finishing at the Eventim Apollo in London on 31 December. Jake Wood was a freshman offensive lineman with the Wisconsin Badgers when the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001. Inspired by the first responders who risked their lives while trying to help others, and by former Arizona Cardinal Pat Tillman's selfless sacrifice, Wood joined the United States Marine Corps. He was eventually promoted to sergeant and served four years in Iraq and Afghanistan, deployed as a scout sniper. Wood earned the Navy-Marine Commendation Medal during his time of service; and since being honorably discharged from the Marines in 2009, Wood has committed to advocating for veterans in the United States. He has actively lobbied Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama on veteran transition and disaster response, and has testified before a Senate committee on improving mental health services for veterans. For his dedication to serving others, Wood, the co-founder and CEO of Team Rubicon, will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service sponsored by Bonobos when “The 2018 ESPYS Presented by Capital One” air live on WEDNESDAY, JULY 18, on ABC.

Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization, will be featured on the April 22 nd episode of NBC's GIVE, which introduces viewers to the world of philanthropy through the stories of small charities making a big impact. Check local listings for air time.

Over the past eleven years family-run pantomime producers, Evolution Productions have built up a reputation for being the UK's number-one creators of bespoke high-quality pantos. As the curtain falls on the 2015-16 pantomime season, Evolution Productions announce record-breaking figures, demonstrating beyond doubt that the pantomime renaissance has come of age.  With The Marlowe Theatre leading the way with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs playing at 99.06% capacity with the number of tickets sold a stunning 95,685 (nearly double the city's population), box office figures over their seven shows across the country came in at 91% attendance, an increase across the board of 10.3% in financial terms on the previous year.
