Broadway diva and SMASH star Krysta Rodriguez is the fly-girl of Ian's dreams in Episode 3 of the Stage17.tv hit comedy web series IAN. It's weird science in this Cronenberg-esque fantasy that pushes the boundaries and leaves everyone feeling a little bit sticky. Actors' Equity Association ("AEA" or Equity) today announced that Beautiful - The Carole King Musical will receive the eighth annual "ACCA" Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.

Jessie Mueller won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Jessie Mueller was nominated for a Tony Award in 2012 for her performance in On a Clear Day You Can See Forever.

Beautiful - The Carole King Musical's Brian Ronan has won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Musical. Ronan has designed the sound for over twenty five Broadway shows. Among the Stroman collaborators offering tributes was Theatre World Award winning actor Jason Danieley (Next to Normal, Curtains, The Full Monty, Candide) and New York City Ballet's Tiler Peck performing a selection from Little Dancer, Taylor Mac performing a selection from The Last Two People on Earth, Tony nominee Marin Mazzie performing from Bullets Over Broadway; and Contact collaborator John Weidman, Karen Ziemba performing a selection from Crazy For You, and cast members from The Scottsboro Boys: John Cullum, Brandon Victor Dixon, Shavey Brown, Max Kumangai, James T. Lane, Deandre Leatherbury, J.C. Montgomery, Justin Prescott, Clinton Roane, and David Bazemore. The event co-chairs are Letty Aronson, Roy Furman, and Julian Schlossberg.

The 80th Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon was held yesterday afternoon, May 16, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square, where winners were announced for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award. The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical is now available for purchase in stores and online. The CD, produced by Jason Howland, Steve Sidwell and Billy Jay Stein, with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer, includes a 28-page color booklet with full lyrics, rare and never-before-seen archival and show photos, and liner notes by Beautiful book writer Douglas McGrath.

According to the Daily Mail, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical is headed across the pond and will run at the Aldwych Theatre in the West End in 'early 2015'. No word yet on whether or how the show will be recast or specific dates for the run. BWW will keep you updated as we know more!
