The Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company will present the world premiere of mother and son writing team, Kathy Kacer and Jake Epstein's THEREFORE CHOOSE LIFE, which will also launch the company's residency at the new Greenwin Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts.

After an 18-month run on Broadway, Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller will say goodbye to the biomusical BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING STORY tonight.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in Jesus Christ Superstar, has nabbed the title role in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Kennedy begins performances on March 7, 2015, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who will play her final performance in Beautiful later this week on March 6 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street). BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL has won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album!

The Bijou Theatre presents The Fairfield County Jazz Guild Series. The local Big Band fills the Bijou with the sounds of 20th Century American Music on Sunday, February 22nd & Saturday, March 22nd at 4:00pm. Tickets are $25 for theatre seats and $35 for table seats.

The Toronto premiere of KINKY BOOTS has found its Charlie Price. Multiple entertainment industry professionals have been tweeting the last few days congratulating Graham Scott Fleming on being cast as the coveted role in the Tony Award-winning musical.

Following last year's sold-out Sting concert, 'Uncovered: Billy Joel & Elton John,' this is Acting Up Stage Company's eighth annual concert dedicated to the musical catalogue of a pop star. And for the first time this year, the company has added a second concert to meet demand. The concert will take place Wednesday and Thursday Nov. 12th and 13th at Toronto's Koerner Hall in the Telus Centre for Performance and Learning, aka the Royal Conservatory of Music. Show time is 8 p.m.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing have announced that the Tony Award-winning hit Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, has recouped its production costs in less than ten months on Broadway. Capitalized at $13 million, Beautiful has been breaking box office records at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) since it opened in January and now becomes the first new musical of the 2013-2014 Season to recoup.

Campbell will take over for Jake Epstein. Beautiful - The Carole King Musical opened on Broadway at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) on Sunday, January 12, 2014, where it has broken all box office records and continues to play to standing-room-only crowds nightly.
