While season three of “Rectify” may have just ended, fans can catch some of their favorite cast members from the Peabody Award-winning series at the “Rectify” Short Film Festival on Sundance.tv.

Shakespeare was a clear favorite this year at the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Among the award-winning productions was Ryan J. Smith's LOVE LABOURS WON, which received two fringe awards: The International Award and an Encore Producers' Award. Back by popular demand, the show has extended through August 6th and will play Thursday nights at 8pm in the Dorie Theatre. Is it a sequel to Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost like the title might imply? I asked Ryan to tell us about the play, which sounds delightful.

On the eve of its season three premiere, SundanceTV announced today that the critically acclaimed and Peabody Award-winning series “Rectify” has been renewed for a fourth season. Season four of “Rectify” will premiere in 2016, with an exact episode count to be determined.

Brian J. Smith (The Glass Menagerie, The Columnist, Come Back Little Sheba) has signed on to star in the independent feature The Passing Season.  Gabriel Long is making his feature debut, directing the script he co-wrote with Matthew-Lee Erlbach. Rebecca Atwood will produce. Shooting is set for this month in Rhode Island. Smith will play 'Sam,' a professional hockey player whose career comes to an abrupt end. He returns to his hometown, reconnects with a group of high school friends, and attempts to escape into an earlier, simpler time in his life.

The award, honoring the best performance in a professional production of a classic play (one written prior to 1920) in the New York metropolitan area, will be presented at Equity's Eastern Regional Membership Meeting at 2 pm today, January 9, 2015 at the Equity offices, 165 West 46th Street, New York.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play, The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor as 'Henry' and Maggie Gyllenhaal as 'Annie' in their Broadway debuts;Cynthia Nixon as 'Charlotte' and Josh Hamilton as 'Max.' Sam Gold directs the cast of seven, which also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie,' Ronan Raftery as 'Billy' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.'
